This game is great. Even though it is still in beta Space Engineers shows a lot of promise. I honestly cannot wait until the developer includes a career mode where mining actually means something. The open-endedness of this game is awesome. The only limits to what you can build are your computer specs. Seriously the possibilities are endless. Wanna build a massive carrier? You can. Wanna build a tiny, fast ship? You can. Wanna build a space station inside an asteroid? YOU CAN! But the creative aspect of this game isn't its only virtue. One of my favorite features is the damage simulation. It is freaking awesome. It requires you to atl east pay a little bit of attention to where you are flying. Go ahead, take that nice shiny new ship out for a spin, just watch out for that...BOOM!... station... Now both your new ship and the station you spent so much time working on are in shambles. But don't worry! You can just replace the damaged parts with bright, shiney new ones. And while you are at it, why not add some lights to the station so you can see it a bit better and hopefully avoid another collision. All in all, this game is amazing and well worth the price. I hope to see a whole lot more out of this in the months to come, especially a way to have an actual server up so you don't have to wait for the person who was hosting the multiplayer game to log back on again to continue building any ships you were working on.
