This story was something truly special.

I love stories, plain and simple. They’ve always been such an important thing to me. I don’t quite remember how I first learned about and got interested in reading CLANNAD. I think it was around when I finished watching the adaption of Air, but I’m not sure. I originally started reading towards the end of this march, but I didn't properly dedicate myself to it until early-ish april when I discovered the nigh on necessity of a guide to make it through this vn. From there, I discovered a beautiful story about a good few different things. In this story, I met many different people, learning about them and who they are. I saw many different kinds of relationships, and came to know what they meant to these people. I was once again assured of the utmost importance of family. A story hasn’t emotionally gotten to me this much in a long while. If there’s one more thing this story could make me cry about, it’s that I can’t have this experience again. The music was wonderful in enhancing the story, and the voice actors did a great job. If you’re the kind of person like me who’s able to sit around and read the same thing for 80+ hours, I cannot recommend this vn enough. It is a story you will not regret reading. That’s all I can think of to say right now, so I’ll end it here, with a nice little conclusion.

This story’s meaning and message is sure to stick with me for the rest of my life. I feel like I can say with certainty, that this story is something truly special. Now, all together, let’s continue to climb the hill. The long, long hill.

This is the game I was waiting for.

I was following this game a fair little while before release. The demo really solidified my high expectations for this game. I intended to play at launch, but was delayed for various reasons. Now that I have finally gotten around to playing this game, I can safely say this game turned out just as amazing as I expected it to be, maybe even more. The game looks, feels, and sounds great. The graphics are really nice, and are a very pleasing style of pixel art. The game feels even better to play than it did in the demo. Kai is very smooth to toy around with, especially when you unlock more chips and techniques. The level design is really solid, and definitely fits nicely with Kai’s gameplay style, though there are a few odd spots. I simply adore the boss design. Each of them has a strong identity in their patterns, and is fun to fight against. I gotta give my props to Bit, though maybe that’s just because I love those kinds of bosses. And of course, not least among the incredible things about this game, we have the soundtrack by Dominic Ninmark, old-school and eurobeat composer of fame(?) among those who know his name. The music he made for the game is simply superb, and makes the already amazing experience just that much more awesome. All in all, great job Domesticated Ant Games, you made something you can be proud of.

Also, just wanna give props for coming up with what’s probably one of my favorite takes on the Mega Man-esque boss rush. It was really fun.

This wacky and zany game is somehow one of the best platformers I've played. It really helped me realize that maybe the real pizza tower was the friends (enemies) we made along the way
