If you like the Alien franchise: You'll get your money's worth.

If you don't like the Alien franchise: It's overpriced for the time it takes to beat the main campaign.

A L4D analogue a friend bought for me that is fun enough. Worth approximately $25 as it currently is. I wouldn't buy it if you don't have two dedicated others to play with.

Everyone is incompetent. Nobody knows how to do their job. People get mad at you for commanding them as the commander.

ALL IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD.

Throw this into your engine to fuel your hate for the world, teens, and boomers. They will likely be the problems, complainers, and drunken wastes (respectively) that make you angry. Place garrisons, build nodes, and get shot in the face by people who snipe with an MG42.

What a magnificent waste of currency. Poor flight controls and a lack of modes make this a poorly made rocket league. Just get rocket league. Don't be blinded by nostalgia.

A pretty good throwback to the original without relying too much on recreating it exactly. A really good blend of fandom and gameplay with a nostalgia streak. A little overpriced but worth trying out for sure.

In short: This game is like an unfinished homebrew board game that they made into an app and up-scaled without proper rendering to a PC game. The play times are unbalanced, the mechanics are boring, the rendering looks like late-90s shareware.

I'd rather pay five dollars on a decent beer. I'd have more fun, it'd be worth something (calorie-wise), and two hours later I wouldn't be wondering why I bought it.

With so many games to buy it can be hard choosing a game that is worth the cost/time. This one is pretty good but especially if you like the backend of the following equation: Star Renegades = FTL + Into the Breach^(JPRG/America). As a game it's pretty straightforward but it isn't a tactics game so don't get it for that reason. Otherwise, if you like forcing friendship on your team, or killing them all and going back in time to start again, then you'll enjoy this.

A wonderful 4X game that has the potential to be as micromanage-y as you want or be as hands-off as you want. With a great soundtrack, beautiful art, and fascinating writing this game is wonderfully in-depth and relaxing. I highly recommend it.

An okay 20$ game that is trying to be worth 60$. A nostalgia trip for a type of game that doesn't really exist anymore and with this fresh lens it is easy to see why.

- Disjointed character stories make it hard to be immersed
- Lack of overarching threat makes it hard to be invested
- Everything starts in a cave.
- The second step is always a mansion.
- Everything being mostly the same make this game tiring very quickly.

When it drops to a better price I would definitely pick it up if you want to relive some of this genre with a new coat of paint.

It took me several years to get around to playing this game seriously. First time I tried I couldn't get into it but now I have found it to be a game that actually lives up to the hype. I definitely suggest it this many years on.

This is the first rogue-lite that I have truly enjoyed. It's got enough action but isn't too frenetic. There are plenty of enemies but once they're dead no new ones spawn. There's a home base you improve upon which really makes the constant runs that end in death feel like they're for something. Pretty solid and I look forward to playing it for many hours to come.
