TLDR: This game could be considered a pseudo-visual novel but there's so much more to it than that. It's a blend of many different things, so do yourself a favor and give it a shot.

Man, if either one of vaporwave, its sub-genres, investigation, collecting stuff or just chilling on a tropical paradise could be considered more or less your thing, this game was made for you, let me tell you. It's unbelievably stylish, simply brimming with character. Takes a few minutes to get into, bit janky around the edges, but it's absolutely worth it. The music is bloody banging, and the more you explore the island the more enthralling it gets. The characters are pretty well written and the world is simply breath-taking.

Additional notes:
- A few parts of the game will be particularly hilarious if you speak Romanian
- Shinji would absolutely have the pass irl
- First time I thought an Unreal game was made in Unity

This game serves as a warning to developers all around the world who might be abusing the "rubber duck" debugging technique.

TLDR: If you like psychological horror walking sims you should still give it a shot, it's free after all. Just be warned that it's really janky.

I really wanna like this game but I just can't. I don't think it deserves a thumbs down but I definitely can't give it a thumbs up. My biggest gripe with it is that there aren't ANY settings so it kinda runs like ass if your PC isn't too beefy. There's also no tutorial or instructions besides a mask breaking the immersion by telling you that you can right click to throw stuff around. The game just assumes you're curious enough to try pressing common video game buttons to see if they do anything.

The dialogue system is also pretty bad, every character just keeps on repeating their last line over and over again. The problem with this is that the line before it usually had your instructions, so if you forgot that good luck. Some text also disappears seconds after being toggled, meaning you're probably gonna miss a few lines of dialogue.

There's no save indicator or anything, but the game does save at the finale. You won't be aware of it though, so if something happens or the game crashes that's probably gonna be the scariest part of the entire experience.

And one more thing, and I think I should put a spoiler warning here so keep reading at your own discretion, but during the final chase part the monster can enter a loop where it keeps teleporting to a certain room you're trying to lead it away from. If that happens just grit your teeth and go the other way or try to run past it.
