This game released in 2009, I bought this for $7.49 from a steam sale, and finally played it in 2020. Not bad right? Anyways, my first playthrough of Origins, Awakening, and all the DLCs, took ~80 hours. I would say, for the price that I bought the game, well worth the money spent. 10+ years after release, this game's combat mechanics may seem remedial to some action game players, but this game leans much more towards strategy rather than straight charging in. Placement of units, buffs, abilities, and unit types matter a lot, as well as the environment. It's a different type of combat, but still gets you addicted. If you've watched other reviews, all say the story is extremely rich. 110% agree. The choices you make determine both rewards and consequences, and so many paths to take with your character. I love it. Most of all? I'm able to save and pick up the game anytime I want. Perfect for my busy self who can only afford around 1-2 hours a day at most.

All in all, you won't be disappointed. This is by far one of the most addicting games I've played in terms of storyline, character development, strategic combat, and.........dating simulation. 9.5/10

Still a fun game after all these years. I love how they tweaked little things, such as the knock back cooldown addition, to make things more challenging. The new special zombies add a higher thrill when going through the maps as well. The devs still try to make this playable and fun. I still hate those Jockies...

This game loves to tug on your heartstrings. Prepare to be faced with choices, difficult choices that we feel are easily made at any moment in time, but can set in stone a chain reaction of events. The game takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that knows no bounds. The character development was extremely well done, and I found myself so invested in the characters that.....that I.....Chl---- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WHO'S CUTTING ONIONS NEXT TO ME?!

I've slept on this game for far too long, always greatly recommended by some of my close friends. I'm very glad I caught this on the Steam 2020 Summer Sale. Definitely a game I will always remember. There is also good replay value if you want to go back, and try different choices, just to see what the outcome would be. Lastly, three things this game teaches you: 1) Treasure your loved ones, every moment, every second, and remind them how much they mean to you 2) There will be light no matter how dark the pathway seems and 3) do not f**k with time

One of the most entertaining and ridiculous games you can get out there for 49 cents. Make sure you play with close friends, it's even more hilarious. Share the laughs, we need more of that in this world. :)

It's been 11 years since I played this game, and I definitely don't regret picking this up for $1.99 on a Steam sale. Mirror's Edge is a breath of fresh air to the typical style of action games. It focuses on running, which seems simple at first but, it's all about speed and fast reactions in parkour. Even during combat, when disarming guns from enemies, Mirror's Edge makes it so that carrying a gun is actually "weighing" you down, and much rather you drop it, and keep running! This game made it as if you can feel yourself fly across rooftops, hear our herione's breath as she runs, and give you that constant adrenaline pump as if you were Faith. Not only that, the game forces you to be innovative in your parkour path; it feels more "open" that way, although it is a general direction.

I wish the sequel was more attractive for me to purchase. I was waiting for a sequel because of how different this game was back in the day. Sadly, it looks like reviews are constantly mixed and negative for Mirror's Edge Catalyst, that I rather not spend the money to buy it for now.

But overall, get this game. There's a sense of freedom stepping into the shoes of the heroine Faith, and you'll love it. Although, it makes me wonder how dumb I must have been 11 years ago when I beat the game in ~10 hours vs now 5 hours, without looking at guides this time too.
