Amazing, underrated game. Underrated in the sense that not many people seem to be interested in it despite the great reviews. I hope it gains the recognition it deserves. I have to admit that the first chapter didn't get me hooked but the more I played the more the game grew on me.

Combat, level design and exploration is very God of War (2018) -like I'd say but the narrative is top tier from DON'T NOD (the creators of Life is Strange!). The world is huge with lots to explore and full of blocked pathways you unlock later on, a level design type I very much enjoy. Lots of quests and side quests and decisions to make where you literally decide the fate of characters. The skill tree is very good, with skill points you can refund on the fly anytime you like, to change your combat style.

I hear the combat is getting criticized but you have to understand you're not getting the full picture in the first chapter and it takes a few hours before you even get the rifle which is a core combat gear. The more you advance in the story the more depth the combat gains. Enemy variety is a bit lacking but it didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the game.

Also the game is beautiful, no performance issues at all and absolutely bug-free polished experience.

Masterpiece. Probably the best game I have ever played. Beautiful graphics, one of the best I've ever seen. Story is awesome. Gameplay mechanics are great, guns feel so good. Very nostalgic and stays true to the franchise in every aspect. LOTS of replay value. And you don't actually need to have played any of the previous resident evil titles to enjoy this one. Feel free to play this one as your first resident evil game if that's the case.

Paid mods. Are you serious, Bethesda?!
