This is an really good and approachable survival/crafting game.
I really like the looting, shooting and the way you're able to customize your environment.
I think this is being made by a small team of developers. (If it isn't just one person) with that in mind I say Bravo!

The issue is that it lacks endgame or challenging encounters.
Ammunition is scarce but I don't really ever fear for my life. (The nail gun is your best friend!)
I wish there was a clearer objective or purpose. I had the same issue with other games where, at some point you have all the guns you need but nothing to use them for. You don't have raids, hordes or nests or even something that would introduce a dungeon-like gameplay.

Yet, I really like it. 9.99$ is a great price for this game as it feels quite polished and I'm sure the Dev(s) will add new updates over time.

I've played 14h so far and will pick it up again when there is new content added.

I'm conflicted.
Is the game fun? Yes.
Is it hard? Yes, It is very difficult.
So difficult it's Infuriating? Yeah, Kindof.
It is nothing like other BR that have been released in the past few years.
Pros:
It's Free to play.
Movement is awesome. You can climb up every wall, slide, wall jump, slow fall while shooting, etc.
Classes and abilities make every character interesting to play. Some characters will fit your playstyle more than others.
Character customisation is cool.
Gunplay feels good. Every Gun feels different.
The upgrade mechanics is interesting. You'll need to feed on the blood of enemies and players to upgrade your passive buffs.
Environment looks good and detailed.
Graphics are amazing.

Cons:
The game is extremely difficult for new players. The learning curve is unforgiving. Even if you're good at other BRs, it doesn't mean you will be good at this one.
The map is pretty small. And that is an issue. If a gunfight occurs, every single other player will be able to see where the gunshots are coming from with their Vampire Sense and they WILL get involved in your fight.
You will get third partied, fourth partied, fifth partied, etc. It never ends.
The map is vertical that means that the threat can come from anywhere at anytime. You won't be able to rest or take a breather after a fight.
Queues can be long and the waiting time between games is infuriating.
You cannot requeue directly after a game if you're in a party but you can if you play solo...(???)
After game loading screen (15-20 seconds) the Queue (2min30 avg), you get a loading screen (20-30 seconds). Then choose your drop point (30 seconds), then choose your character (7 seconds per player) Then you spawn on the map.(5 seconds before the game starts).
Total time between games : Approx 3min45-4min.
All the wait makes it excruciating to get obliterated by an enemy team with tens if not hundreds of hours of playtime in the first 2 minutes of play.

Conclusion :
The game is fun but can get old real quick because of the waiting time. If you want to start playing BR, don't play this game first. The game is HARD. To me, it's a game that is challenging and it drives me to get better. I want to keep playing but I hope they fix some stuff along the ride. (Waiting time, map size, the third partying, etc.) If you want to git gud at a game that will make you feel inadequate for the first tens of hours, this is the game for you. I feel like when you finally start fragging, the game feels amazing. Until then, good luck.

I can't recommend this game in good conscience.

I've watched the trailer and thought wow, this game looks ridiculously over-the-top, fun and beautiful.

The game doesn't offer anything more than what's shown in the trailer. I finished it in less than 2 hours, won't ever play it again and certainly won't pay for DLC Skins that add nothing to replayability.
The game has nothing more to offer than what's in the trailer. Watch it and you'll have played the game.
The action sequences are nice but the flow of the gameplay is always interrupted by cutscenes.
Reloading guns takes FOREVER and you're guns don't reload automatically between segments. You then need to stop after every gun fight to reload your 4 guns so the flow is interrupted once again.
You unlock abillities but the enemies don't react to them. (They won't get staggered. They will simply rush and damage you while you're stuck in an animation.)
The graphics are nice sure... BUT the RTX demo is misleading and the water physics and detail is not the same as shown. (Played on 3060TI)

Overall I think it's a nice proof of concept. Cool idea, terrible execution.
If it were to be turned into a full length open world game by a AAA studio it'd be amazing I'm sure.
For now, it's a bare-bone and extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely short demo. That I wish I hadn't payed 26CAD for.
