I enjoyed this game with friends years and years ago. One of the absolute BEST zombie survival games, but that "goodness" rollercoasters up and down with updates. Speaking of which, I have no idea how this is still in ALPHA when it's been in development since 2013. I believe the devs just need to put their heads down and get it done because this is just, put frankly, stupid.

Let's. GOOO.

A beyond perfect reimagining of Resident Evil 2. Blew away all of my expectations (and I had some sky-high ones) and terrified me $h1tless. My favorite RE is Resident Evil 1 Remake but now, I'm not so sure. This game right here is what you call a masterpiece, and as good as a remake can possibly get.

Downright phenomenal. - 10/10

UPDATE upon completing the "2nd Run": Overarching story is present over the A/B scenarios, but major story element inconsistencies really screw up the timeline. I understand some elements are the way they are for gameplay purposes, but you simply cannot show two sides of different coins in a single playthrough. Still, this does little to affect the overall game's excellence. Just don't think too much about it.

Final score - 9.5/10 (for incoherence)

Foreword: This was a complete impulse buy. No experience with the beta, my only previous contact was from the announcement trailer quite a few months ago. But...

...after 3.5 hours, "The Blackout Club" is a pretty decent impulse purchase. This is essentially a game where teens play hide-and-seek with adults while trying to complete random objectives. The game is surprisingly playable in its current state, albeit a little buggy and unoptimized. The devs did make that crystal clear in their description, however.

The Shape, or the Big Bad™, can be scary and panic-inducing but is mostly hilarious due to its resemblance to a generic Sims character outline. Petition to add Simlish, anyone? In all seriousness though, please make The Shape more menacing by changing his "shape." Or, instead of making him run, make him approach with a menacing walk, akin to the being from "It Follows." OR, if the current Shape is central to the eventual story, make alternate Shapes for the non-story multiplayer modes. Many ways to go about this.

The unique mechanic of this stealth game is closing your eyes to see the unseeable (aka The Shape and hints in the form of footprints). This was implemented very effectively in the single-player intro, but literally flies out the door in multiplayer. I rarely ever closed my eyes unless I was lost. And if The Shape was near, I just booked it. Why would you close your eyes when you can just run? Choosing to do so involves wasting precious time looking back, discerning a Sims character from the back of your eyelids, then opening your eyes and running. Please give the use of this mechanic more incentive. It's interesting but is currently being wasted.

In addition, instead of using the supply cache system for regular consumables, please hide them in cabinets or closets when appropriate (eg. during the sections above-ground). This was hinted at in the SP prologue (where you could open and interact with everything) and would make the main game MUCH more engaging.

One last thing- great art direction, butt-ugly character customization. It's emphasized that this will improve, so woo! Otherwise, the game looks great. A mix of Bioshock/We Happy Few style graphics with a splash of Stranger Things. Noice.

Despite all my gripes, I'm really having fun. This is an Early Access title after all. Here's to many more incoming updates from the devs. Keep it up, Question! This game has a lot of potential.

6/10, but easily an 8+ once everything promised has been delivered and more.

PS. There are a few typos in the game. If you want someone to proofread (for free), let me know. ;)

I had it on the Wii, loved it, but was really irked by how such a beautiful game was held back by the hardware and resolution (480p). Fast-forward and here we are now: the definitive edition of Okami. Yes, it's in 30fps, but it's smoother than you'd expect. Also, anything above breaks game logic so don't be expecting that anytime soon.

Fantastic.

SURVIVAL HORROR, BUT FOR THE MOLDED.

This... this is how you make a DLC. You play as Joe Baker, Jack's brother who stumbles upon Zoe after the events of the main game. I won't spoil any more story-wise, but this is the definitive conclusion to RE7.

The point of this DLC is not horror- there are very tense moments throughout, the thrills are constant, and there are jumps here and there but the combat is what truly shines.

There are no guns. Instead, you use your fists to chain together combos (which is an absolute blast). You can also stealth kill. The only other weapons you use are makeshift spears and bombs, the former of which is unbelievably satisfying to throw and the latter of which saw no daylight during my playthrough. There's one more weapon, but that's a surprise.

You still use Chem-Fluid to craft, but instead of herbs you gather everything from centipedes to crawfish to make First-Aid Meds. Or you can eat them outright with deliciously detailed animations. Very nice touches.

While the DLC isn't very long (it took me around 1.5-2hrs), the quality and entertainment value is through the roof. There are multiple points where the soundtrack swells and the gameplay flexes its muscles and you simply can't help but smile like an absolute idiot. Oh, and once you're done, multiple challenges are unlocked that culminate in perks, abilities, and a freakin' blade.

Get it. I have nothing more to say.

Unbelieve. Some of the best sci-fi horror I've seen in AGES. Impeccable cinematography, suspense, pacing, music, VFX, everything. BEAUTIFUL. Just watch it. You've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

On another note, Netflix, please pick this up for a full blown series. Thanks.

Atmosphere and scares on point. This is the next big step for Resident Evil and it looks stellar. Extremely well optimized- runs amazing even on my laptop (Y50), above 60FPS on average at default settings and 900p. Definitely pre-ordering, super hyped.
