Good game. The combining mechanics are really interesting in this kind of RTS.
Almost exclusively played the campaign, pretty good. Very campy but entertaining enough and the missions were fun (if sometimes a little long without cheesing)

The initial cost of the full 'World of Assassination' trilogy (Hitman 1-3) is a bit of a barrier to entry but wow, does IOI give you CONTENT for it. Dozens of maps with dozens of VAs each, more possible solutions and random interactables than you could ever need, so many side modes and so much replay ability, it's astounding. Every elusive target I'm surprised and impressed by the interesting dialog lines and unique NPC interactions.

What tipped the scale from `Good game that people who like Hitman should definitely check` out to `Great game anyone interested should give a shot` for me is their most recent patch. The notes were comprehensive, detailed, and thorough.
And most importantly, they included notes about an 'unintended' fix that drastically impacted the (relatively small) Hitman Speedrunning community. IOI included which unintended fix 'patched' out the exploit Speedrunners use, wrote on how the developers loved seeing what people did with the old bug, and ended with saying they were actively working to UNPATCH the fix.

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two other times developers have re-introduced a bug for the community's benefit. I think it says a lot about the commitment IOI has for this game and the quality of it's community that they would put any extra work into re-introducing a bug they accidentally patched.

Also, the new rogue-lite arcade mode is pretty fun (or at least has been so far).

I've been so conflicted to review this game here. I have hundreds of hours on it from my old Xbox 360 and truly love this title. The story, the characters, the world graphics and ambiance are all the height of video game design to me. I do a fresh playthrough, start to finish on 1999 difficulty, every year for my birthday as nostalgic tradition.

So why would I ever be conflicted to review this game? Should be one of the easiest thumbs up on steam, and it kind of is. But I truly truly TRULY loath the Mouse/Keyboard controls.

Specifically, I can't handle toggle to aim iron-sights. I hard quit CS:GO at GNM because it's apparently 'griefing' to mentioned I unbound ADS. I ONLY give FPS games a chance after learning it's a bind-able option (as it should be in every FPS). It is, in my incredibly subjective and relatively unpopular opinion, the largest of first-person sins to FORCE either Hold or Toggle sights. It MUST be adjustable.

So this gets a very bare thumbs up; and ONLY because the Voice acting, Art Design, Writing, World Building, and Gameplay (on controller) are some of the industry's best.

Great game. Get the remastered mod and it's easily one of (if not singularly) the best Star Wars game ever made. The first is also incredible but in the year 2023 it comes off a little too dated (deserves a solid remaster more than anything else) IMO.

I just finished the new Jedi Survivor game (solid but not great; ~40 hours to 100% and I have no intention to ever boot the game up again) and felt compelled to update my review for this old gem.

KOTOR2, to me, is the peak of the elusive gaming mountain of RPGs. 2 decades after release and there have only been a few contenders for more compelling story, characters, worlds, or gameplay.
The story is rich and open, ignore-able to those that want to Force Run past everything but incredibly immersive and broad in scope for those that want to interact with everything.

The main cast is potentially less interesting than the original KOTOR but still better than most modern RPGs. Choices cause changes that can be seen in the crew, specifically Handmaiden/Disciple and Atton have dramatic shifts and story plots based on their relationship with the Main Character. The sheer power of Kreias character and story arc (predictable as it is now-a-days), or the beloved comedic relief of the classic droids (and a few new ones).
These supporting characters are what leads to so much replayability, different party members have flavor lines and even cause different choices if they are in your party at different times which means sometimes 2 or 3 play-throughs in you might find a fun new dialog or interaction you missed.

The different worlds are fun but somehow feel smaller than the first game. That really just shows how much the original did with so little; the map sizes in this game are essentially the same as the new Jedi Survivor. But it still fun to explore the new zones, check out some of the planets you visited in the first game and see some of the repercussions to your actions there.

Good game.

**TL:DR** It's a fine golf game. Good mechanics, too buggy though. I had an apparently uncommon bug and had to deal with very ill-trained support staff who knew less about troubleshooting this game than I did

About ~10 hours into playing I got a bug where if my PC had a controller connected every shot swing timing would, with 100% consistency, either be "Too Fast" or "Too Slow" at random.

After 45 practice shots I had 28 "Too Fast" and 17 "Too Slows" while trying VERY hard to have a consistent swing timing. For perspective, I got "Perfect" timing about ~70% of the time with a mouse.

But this is an acceptable bug as far as I'm concerned. Assuming you don't mind playing with a mouse, like me.
The reason I don't recommend this game is due to the customer support.

When I reached out to 2k support over this issue I was faced with easily some of the least enthusiastic, least professional, and least helpful emails I've ever seen. And I worked in IT for over a decade.

The emails consisted of the following 3 recommendations then being told there was nothing more they could do:
1) Did you unplug the controller and plug it back in?
2) Did you restart your computer?
3) Did you reinstall the game?

Throughout the dozen emails I was also told this issue was "very common" while simultaneously being told he'd never seen an issue like this before.
After testing 5 different controllers he still kept insisting it was a bad controller. (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Dualshock 4, Steam Controller).
He asked whether I was playing on an Xbox EVERY SINGLE EMAIL.

The combination of game breaking bugs (there is a more common bug that stops people from playing offline entirely. Google HB RS 1702 for more info) and fantastically horrid support is why I can't recommend this game.

Maybe next time 2K, in the meantime I'm going back to TW PGA 2004

EDIT**
At 40 hours played now. It's a fine golf game and the private party multiplayer can be really fun w/ friends. The occasional wonky angle or incredibly short chip becomes funny instead of frustrating.
