A great MechWarrior Game!

PROS:
1 - Excellent visuals
2 - No Micro-transactions
3 - Combat is satisfying
4 - No Micro-transactions
5 - Excellent worthwhile DLC Expansions
6 - No Micro-transactions
7 - Great Mod Support
8 - No Micro-transactions


CONS:
1 - Ray-tracing implementation is god awful, looks great but is a real fps killer so it's best left off.
2 - Not the deepest story (but MW5 Clans looks to improve that, yay!)

Great Game! Old school vibe with nice modernizations.
Unlike the old Doom/Wolfenstein games that this game calls back to use an actual 3D environments/maps (the old game were pure 2D ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3D) with modern lighting and decorated 2D sprite objects and enemies with higher resolution textures than the old games but still in a low resolution art style that again gives it that old school vibe while looking miles better on modern hardware. The combat too has the old school vibe but a more modern touch. Controls on both the keyboard/mouse and on the controls are tight yet fluid (very nice). Runs and looks great on my Steam Deck too! On my PC, I run the game at double resolution (i.e.-2880p on my 1440p monitor @ 100+fps) and that makes it look even better, recommended if you have the GPU horse power to spare. Audio is also a treat, giving weight to game play. More games like this please...

fun bash and crash racing

Revised Review: I like the game ok now, I made a back up app to backup my game saves to protect from crashing, used dev command to cut down the grinding. Finally enjoying the game.

TOXIC PLAYERS ALERT: Me and wife were just playing for the 1st time, we in the beginning trading port just trying to get started on our second mission ever. We we still trying to figure out the damned game. We had nothing, NOTHING but some food and cannonballs, you know, the freebies, 10 feet away in barrels.We were attack by other players. There is no options for private play (even on closed crew) But they didn't just want to take our stuff (which was nothing). They were purposefully hunting *US* down even we gave up, jumped ship and tried to go to the tavern just to chill and wait for them to leave but they wouldn't. Just kill the new people, that all it was about for them. So tell me, HOW IS THAT NOT TOXIC? I would try to get refund for this *SAD* game but I'm sure I've burned through Steam refund policy already. My wife and I had been really looking forward to playing this together but with the first couple of hours of game play it already over, kill by toxic players who only live to make other miserable and then make excuses for it. $80 in the toilet.

2 Hours in and it's amazing!

Playing on a Valve Index with RTX 2080ti and got it at max resolution / 144 refresh and it stunning! No lag at all.

Most immersive HL game ever (duh! it's VR!)

So far it's living up to the hype!
