This DOOM feels like a good heavy metal album. Fast, loud, and absolutely unforgiving. You either move or you die — rage and accuracy are your best friends.

Half-Life 2 is a masterpiece that defines what a first-person shooter can be. The story is engaging, pulling you into a dystopian world ruled by the enigmatic Combine. The characters, especially Alyx and the ever-memorable G-Man, are brilliantly written and voice-acted.

The gameplay is a perfect blend of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The gravity gun is an iconic tool, making every encounter feel dynamic and inventive. The physics engine was revolutionary for its time and still holds up, offering a level of interactivity that few games achieve.

The atmosphere is unmatched, with its hauntingly beautiful settings, from City 17's oppressive streets to the eerie Ravenholm. Valve's attention to detail in level design keeps you immersed and invested.
