Great game!

The level and quality of the description is never seen before in a multiplayer, very well synchronized and replicated to all clients (surprisingly so).

It rewards team-work and creativity instead of snap-shot aim and a frenetic rush, quite the contrast with some of the recent shooters out there.

I hate competitive games, but somehow loved this one. Well done devs!

The product in question aligns precisely with my initial expectations—a hastily assembled asset flip.

The graphical quality of the game appears outdated and fails to meet the standards expected from the Unreal 5 generation. The level design lacks innovation and appears largely procedurally generated and recycled, particularly in the downtown area.

The combat mechanics are notably simplistic, lacking depth with the absence of melee options such as knives or bashing. The sole reliance on ranged combat falls short, lacking essential features like leaning, varied stances, and presenting an unusual recoil and stability system.

Contrary to its advertised features, this game is not a survival game, an open-world experience, or an MMO. Instead, it functions as a server-based extraction shooter multiplayer.

The development team's practices are concerning, exhibiting poor communication with the public and internal disorganization.

It was also very worrying to notice the voice acting in the game appears to be predominantly AI-generated.

Furthermore, there are indications, notably the .pak file named Survival.pak, that suggest the possibility of the acquisition of a pre-made game mode from the Unreal store, leading to the rapid development of a playable game within a year. Such a process does not reflect the expected quality from a game developed over a five-year span.

Feature-wise, this should have been an update to the first Cities Skylines, the improvements are minimal and mostly QOL.

At this stage this game is hard to handle, too many issues :
- It is on unity (Joking, or not ...)
- Crashes
- Massive stuttering (Most likely bugs on the simulation code)
- Fluid simulation bugs (Got infinite water bugging out in the middle of nowhere after flattening the terrain)
- Bad performance (Mostly unity's fault)

Hope it gets better as it goes along, but it is tiring to buy released games that feel like early access.

Amazing!

They where really clever and successful in mixing some of my favorite genres, and using NASA's topographical scans for the sol system is an extra bonus.

Great setting, lore, story-line, level design, characters (Some exceptions apply, they where really bad =/) ... etc. The only downside for me so far is the endgame+ it adds some things here and there but not enough to give the game a replay-ability in the sense the devs intended. Maybe if some content was locked behind some decisions it would make more sense to do NG+ runs, like the whole UC and FC storylines.

I'd rather make a new character and lean more into the sandbox aspects then redo the same things over and over again, no wonder the hunter turned out how he did. :)

Although the NG+ systems are not quite there per-se the philosophy and storytelling behind it all is quite beautiful and interesting. Bleaker then any other Bethesda title, even behind the coating of hopefulness and zen they put over it, the true story of this game is a tragedy in my opinion and an amazing one at that, plays with your senses and the reasoning for what drives us.

Damn amazing game!

Throughout the game I was on the edge of my seat, interesting and engaging characters and quests, the visual storytelling of the scenario making me explore everything and the multi-branching narrative kept me scum-saving to not let people die.

The game is a 10/10 all the way until the last stretch, the "end-game" section although interesting loses a lot of quality, not only performance issues, visual bugs as well as a couple of game-play issues. But the worse of all, that almost ruined the experience for me was the streamlining of the end, I'll not give any spoilers but, you are led throughout the game to believe in a certain type of resolution that is taken away from you completely (Reminiscent of good old Mass Effect 3 ending, but not as bad). My hope is that this is remedied in the patches and updates to come or expanded upon a DLC, as it stands the end of the game is a 6/10. With the exception of the voice actors that just nailed everything.

Still a great game, thrilling and enticing, the plot development is amazing, the side quests interesting and all voice acting was completely mind-blowing, some very emotional scenes and stories.

Game-play is DnD so meh, was better in DOS and DOS2. Tabletop systems should remain on the tables,a t least for combat, they are not very compatible with video games, bad fit. The attribute checking and dice RNG fit well with the environment checks, and dialogue, really well might I add, but the combat is borderline dreadful, very convoluted, makes you learn all the classes since there is no AI for companions (Making early game on first play-throughs very overwhelming), and just like on tabletop DnD is full of little twists and rules that take you quite some time to get used to.

Apart from the narrative issues on the end-game, everything else will probably be fixed by mods, so not to worried.

Recommend it, big time, just lower your expectations for the ending :)

Came into this game with high expectations, especially after being a big fan of the first one and the Dead Island series, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

It feels to me like the passion for the title was left in the first game, this version hosts a plethora of bugs, wonky animations, one of the most unnecessary game mechanics I've seen in all my years of gaming as well as networking issues.

The whole immunity system just adds tension to something that doesn't need it, this timer does not allow you to enjoy the nights, or think your way around in dens. And there is no lore reason for this, i cannot fathom how all the engineers, scientists, electricians, or just general smart person, didn't think to carry a UV light with them at night, to stop a disease progressing, it is an un-immersive system, with no gameplay value that only serves to annoy the player.

The multiplayer desync is insane, from zombies teleporting around, friends teleporting around, Zombie grabs bypassing dodges, explosions from hazmat zombie tanks only running on who activated it, it goes on.

And the player animations are just, what the ♥♥♥♥. You only really notice it when playing in coop but it is beyond bad, the player will slide towards an interactable, break his shoulder in 3 spots to throw a knife, it just looks wonky and lazy.

For the price tag on this product, it should deliver a LOT better then what it has.

Absolutely fantastical game, great release especially for early access.

As a developer I am thoroughly surprised as how well their systems handle especially considering the amount of them.

This hands down leaves Conan Exiles and Ark releases on the dirt. Smooth release, minor bugs and enough content to be busy for months.

Cannot wait for modding support to put the cerry on the top of an already incredible game.

Best game ever!

Amazing story, worthy of a great movie, engaging, heartfelt and intense.

Best survival gameplay around, immersive, challenging and yet fun and entertaining.

10/10

This should be the game of every damn year!

I've been waiting for this one a long time. And the wait was worth it, great quality, putting a lot of bigger releases to shame, not even a single bug so far.

I am and will always be a fan of these developers and can't wait to get thousands of hours worth of content from this, just like i have in the previous titles.
