My girlfriend (who had always previously hated video games) and I played this game co-op. Girlfriend did not want to stop playing, so we stayed up until about 4am drinking and playing. I was so surprised to even hear that she enjoyed the game enough to want to play later.

I mean she even asks me to paly video games now.

Do not let the negative reviews of this game prevent you from buying it. It is a fully functiong game although it is in aplha. It is true that the game is not currently optimized, however if you set nvidia settings correctly it will run at acceptable frame rates. Make sure to set pre rendered frames to 1, power settings to maximum performance, and refresh rate to maximum.

Besides this the game has a lot of features that i have never seen in another game and has an unparalled advancment system. the first ship or two that you loose will probably make you angry, but will teach you valuable lessons that will motivate you to get back at it. Along with this your sense of reward comes from finding knowledge and learning new crafting schematics, with that said when you lose your ship it hurts only for a period as it is very simple to put another together.
