Giving my contribution to the well deserved "mixed" reviews, I refunded the game and I seriously hope this lights a fire under Capcom's ass.

I might be able to tolerate it if the game looked like ass but performed well, and I might even be able to stomach it if it was gorgeous but had perf issues, but the game has the most baffling, outright distracting problems in both performance and quality. Textures load in with resolutions that seriously feel like they're straight out of a game from 2006, on high settings, terrain looks blobby and low detail with muddy ambient occlusion, and on top of that the game runs like COMPLETE ass even with DLSS on balanced, on a 3080, at ONLY 1080p. I have updated drivers and everything. Performance is better on DLSS performance mode which makes everything muddy as hell but they still can not hit a consistent 60 fps. I will rebuy it if and when these problems are fixed but the game is in such a remarkably bad state for both performance and quality that I don't know if I can recommend it to anyone. I am no graphics snob, I probably care less about graphics less than the average gamer, but it was so distractingly bad to even me that I am holding off.

Will probably be one of my favorite games when the public beta test being disguised as a release is over and the game is actually finished

This is one of the best controlling games I've ever played. The level design is outstanding, and your character has the sense of momentum you've always wanted (but never got) from a 3D Sonic. The combat is amazing but can be overly simple if you play on normal and don't experiment; however it has a lot of the staples of Stylish Action, like juggling enemies, and is tremendously fun on higher difficulties and when you try to play stylishly.

there are some mechanics whose tutorials are easily missed or forgotten - here are some spoiler free pieces of advice

1. Crouching on rails like Sonic Adventure 2 is a mechanic. There is a tutorial for this but it's easily missed. Remember, crouch when going downhill on a rail to gain speed - crouching while going uphill will make you lose speed so don't crouch uphill.
2. Hold Y to do a launcher. This is, again, a tutorial, but I find people forget this. Combat is a lot more fun if you get up to some air juggling, Devil May Cry style.
3. Destroying objects, like crates, and other various things, nets you points. This is really important for score medals. Attack everything you see and see if it's destructible. Again this is tutorialized but people tend to miss this as well.

Pros:
+ Level Design is unbelievable
+ Movement and controls are fantastic
+ A blast to 100%
+ Combat has a lot of depth and is a ton of fun, and feels great
+ AMAZING soundtrack
+ A whole lot of fun to master, both combat, movement, and learning the levels

Cons:
- Combat is too easy on normal (I recommend playing on hard AT LEAST. You can change the difficulty any time)
- Writing is stilted and the story is a bit weak (I find your mileage may vary on this one, a lot of people like it)
- It ends (this is the biggest one - even after 100%ing it I just want MORE. That said, I'm continuing to get the most out of the replayability and I already have 80+ hours out of it.)

Early Access Review
Beneath the surface features of voxel destruction lies an incredibly fun heist game about setting up levels to be speedrun. Make sure you know what the full game entails before purchasing because some might not like the heist gameplay. I personally think it's the best thing they could have done with the engine, and I had a ton of fun finding my own unique solutions to missions.

Constant, unplayable stuttering every second. Desynced audio for cutscenes. RE2 had the same problem for many people and it was never fixed. Another awful PC port from Capcom.
