After 50 hours into Elex 2, I find it superior to Elex 1, addressing many previous annoyances. Improvements include better graphics, cleaner UI, map markers, upgraded jetpacks, and smoother combat, though it's now too easy. Drawbacks are a repetitive story, costly crafting recipes, misaligned perk requirements, and impactful bugs. 100 hours in, the final chapters decline in quality with dull storytelling and tedious fights against Skyands, lacking strategy in combat.

Looks old and has its quirks like weird combat and lighting, but hey, it's a Piranhabytes game, so you know what you're in for. The map's massive and there's loot everywhere, kind of gives those big-budget games a run for their money. It's not your typical RPG, which is a nice change, and the humor's got that quirky German vibe, surprisingly better in English in some parts. It's tough on higher difficulties, but unlocking all the cool perks and gear feels really rewarding.
