DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF YOU WANT MULTIPLAYER GAMEPLAY.

This game is so good...unless you want to play online with people. This game has IMPOSSIBLE desync issues that mean you will never ever be able to play a coop game or with people because you'll spend ages setting up armies, picking the perfect map, set up your army on the map, click start, get started in the fight and 3 minutes in, without fail, the game will desync and automatically exit the game. 100% of the time. There is no fix. No one knows how to solve this. Creative Assembly don't give a ♥♥♥♥ and are happy to just take your money and not help when you try and raise support tickets. ♥♥♥♥ the multiplayer, ♥♥♥♥ the devs for ignoring this and staying silent even as it persists into all their new games.

I play Company of Heroes 1, a game that is probably about 15 years old now and it works an absolute dream. How does that work? If you want a fun multiplayer game, go for that. But for now, avoid this.
