i did not expect pirate yakuza to be as good as it is, my only gripe is that there's not as much voiced dialogue in things like side content as there is in a main series entry but it's still great. also matt mercer does a fantastic majima.

It improves on practically every aspect of the first Judgment. It manages to do what Yakuza 5 bumbled with; an absolutely monstrous amount of side content, except in this case it's quality and quantity. The narrative is thrilling too and is far better at keeping me engaged than the first Judgment on a replay. I think it's objectively one of RGG Studio's best games released (as of Jan. 2025).

An absolutely fantastic experience for Indiana Jones fans. I thought the first person nature of it would be weird, but it really works in the game's favor. Great narrative and performances as well (Troy Baker does a FANTASTIC job).

dang... this game is kinda awesome

First and foremost, I hope this sells well so Dead Rising 2's PC version can not be total crap. It feels as if this is both made for newcomers and fans of the series. I personally didn't mind the voice changes, while he's no T.J. Rotolo, Jas Patrick does a great job nonetheless. There's a lot of quality of life I enjoy like being able to change how Frank looks very easily, but there's especially a lot of changes in Overtime Mode, those being only needing 5 queens and being able to choose yes or no if you want to progress to the tunnels . There are some changes I don't like though especially some near the end of the game like not changing the list to include a character from a later game in the series and the tank being way too easy to defeat . On another note, I like how one of the psychopaths in the game, Larry, is no longer and egregious racist stereotype and genuinely has more personality than he did in the original.

All that being said, I don't know whether to recommend this or the original. I had a more consistently enjoyable time with the gameplay in Deluxe Remaster but it is easier for what that is worth, although I never found the original release to be that hard either.

I'm not much of a strategy gamer, like I'm kinda bad at these games, but I really enjoyed my time with this. It was really refreshing to play something unique and it came out this year too despite feeling like a game from the 2000s. I hope other studios and Capcom themselves put out more "risky" titles like this. For 50 bucks, it's a genuine good time, and there's a demo which is fairly representative of the early game.
