The art resources are plentiful, and the monster animations are smooth. If I had to sum up the game's shortcomings in one word, it would be 'inconsistency.' Like the invisible walls, many areas seem accessible but aren’t, while in others, you can break through fences to uncover hidden collectibles. The story appears to have been reworked midway, resulting in a fragmented and disjointed narrative, especially in the last two chapters, where the inconsistency with the earlier parts is most noticeable. Overall, the game feels like an unpolished jade—a product of compromise between time and experience. Yet, creating something imperfect in reality is far better than building a flawless but imaginary castle in the air. While it may not be a crown jewel, it lays a cornerstone for the Chinese gaming industry.

Frankly, Sifu should have won the Best Indie Game and been nominated as Game of the Year 2022.
