As a fan of anything warhammer, this is it.

For the environment : The attention to details is amazing and beyond this world. The way they did battlefields is amazing with the hordes of tyrannids rushing to devour their prey. Even going in corridors or small players you can look around and see a story being told through was looks like last stands, lost fights and such. Even walking into adeptus mechanicus areas, you can see the grim dark flowing through through one of these servitor lining up the wall to control the air conditioner.

For the lore : Good attention to details, all the units seems like a living model from the board game. All the loyalists factions act like they should be in the lore and it's amazing that not much has been modified to fit in the ''modern audience'' . Only thing I wish was for Pink horrors to show up. Would it not be amazing to have them separate into blue horrors if you don't execute them fast enough?

For the game overall : The gameplay is amazing, I like the parry system and it always feel like you're STRUGGLING to survive any encounter. It can get really high intensity and you have to use the proper gun/tools sometimes to survive. My only complaints is that I wish the imperial guards AI would be better. If you look at them mid fight they will just stand there doing nothing ( I wish they would go behind cover or even flee if the hormagaunts are approching. ) .

I Wish there was more horrific ends to the humans as the lore is pretty crazy regarding the weapons of the termagaunts : they can shoot some short of high velocity beetles called fleshborers. Their short lives are simply to dig through armor and dig inside their victim causing the most damage. Would have been crazy to see stuff like this like in The Mummy movie ( the beetle going to the brain scene )

Also wish there was more variations of the finishers, they really lack diversity compared to games like doom eternal.

Final comments :

Really glad these developer kept the game highly respectful to the lore and the WH40K universe. The characters are masculine, no woke messaging and it's just about completing the missions and winning the war.

The duo of marines with Titus are not 1 dimentionals and critique properly Titus when needed. But it's not long winded conversations : They state a question or a comment, the other argues back or answers, then after a quick settling they focus back to their mission ( no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ).


I recommend this game.

This game is amazing. The visuals are unique, the characters are memorable and the music is stuck in my head since I've finished the game this week-end.

I wish there was a sequel or more games similar to this one.

What is probably more scary than this is the possibility of Rule 34 that some killers might be subject to.
