Excellent game. Buy it, play it completely blind, and trust yourself not to use a guide.

Just some good fun, short enough game, i finished without trying to 100% within 5 hours, but was definitely worth playing and I will return to 100%
Soundscape, soundtrack, and sound-effects are stellar, covering up for slightly less impressive voice-acting

Excellent game, gameplay is fluid and fun to play.
Movement is incredible, slow to get used to but exciting and engaging when you understand it.
The story is rich and worth getting invested in.
It holds up to the modern day despite being an 'old' game.

In a word, this game is fun.

If you are looking for a game that has a focus on survival, building a town to small kingdom that is military and based around the perfect defensive structure, then this is a game for you.

If you are looking for a relaxing game to sit back, relax, and enjoy, a world to make pretty, organised, neat, stylish; this is the game for you.

If you are looking for a game focused on efficiency and maximising potential yield, hundreds of tiles all perfectly situated and calculated to get you the best possible earnings, then this is the game for you.

I look for all 3 of these in a game, and have found them all perfectly realized in Kingdoms and Castles. I can sit back and play while at the same time watching a movie, talking to a friend, or thinking about something else entirely. But I can also put all of my focus into the game, thinking years into the future and setting the groundwork for plans to come.

I would highly recommend this game to people who enjoy any one of the following:
- Base building
- PvE
- Survival
- Efficiency
- Beautiful aesthetics.

The team has been great with churning out updates and responding to player inquiries, I can only hope they continue this trend.

I love this game, it's a simple game that offers simple and quick satisfaction. No endless clicking required, just log in every few days and reap the rewards
