I haven't played this game a lot and bought it during the winter sale when it was cheaper than the original Half-Life. There's not much for me to compare it with since I don't own the original Half-Life, but I can say that I love this game so far. Everything that happened before HL2 can pretty much be re-experienced with an entire new look.

One of the best games I've ever played. Great story, Single-player focussed, great graphics for a game from 2004, and a lot of action and confusion.

Fallout New Vegas is almost the same as Fallout 3. However, the world is too small since it's a half of Fallout 3's world, you can't continue playing it on a save after you beat the game and it's set in a western theme which I personally don't like.

New Vegas does however have the hardcore mode, but I suggest getting mods for actual realism where one bullet can kill a player or an NPC with a shot to the head.

The strong western theme doesn't fit Fallout in my opinion. Fallout 3 looked way harsher and colder, while the New Vegas world looks more forgiving and less post-apocalyptic. I don't recommend this game because it doesn't look serious enough, compared to Fallout 3.

DayZ is pretty much the most hardcore game I've ever played. When you spawn, you have nothing but a simple set of clothing and a flashlight with one battery. Throughout the game you can find almost anything you'd find in a real zombie-apocalypse. Abandoned villages, cities and even complete military bases & airports. Just once you found everything you think is useful, ranging from a bulletproof vest, to an automatic weapon, a group of zombies starts attacking you untill you're dead; which is when you've lost everything you obtained and spawn in an empty field with a small house next to it.

Aside from the game-play, the game is slightly bugged. The zombies are too powerful and a lot of players play this like Call Of Duty, where they'll shoot at you on sight, even if you say you're friendly.

This game is most fun once you've teamed up with someone you can definitly trust. I definitely recommend this game.

I've played Garry's Mod for a good couple of years now. I started out in 2007 with a pirated version and bought it in 2011 with my first paycheck. I've never played a game as much as I have with this one. Garry's Mod truly stands through the test of time.

You can build vehicles, bases, you can spawn NPC's from almost ANY game with the workshop, you can roleplay, play prophunt, zombiesurvival, you can play STALKER in Gmod, Fallout, you can even make art.

Garry's Mod got me into game development and I'll be thankful for it always. I'm currently 27 and I still see myself play this game in 20 years. Heck, maybe until I'm physically too old to play games.

I also look back fondly to my time doing the nichest of niche things like Mass Effect roleplay and Half Life 2 roleplay, or building robots with in-game scripting based off of Lua.
