2000+ hours in this game and I still don't get bored. Valve have screwed up on some parts of the game recently but are slowly getting to fixing it. Not even just a game anymore; there is a gigantic virtual economy full of trading where, once you get into it, you can make huge profits. Also there is a professional competitive scene outside of the in-game mechanics. Just try it out, doesn't hurt to try, and I promise you won't regret it.
