It is Moon Punchs first(?) game, so I try not hammer them down with my review.
So I assume that the performance, graphics etc. gets better over time, thus I won't refund it right now.

But the writing made the 20 year old protagonist sound like he never got to transition into adulthood. Why is he so childish? Why is the dialogue so strange? it is not even the translation issue, it is how these characters act. The writing can be compared the stories you find in *insert language* beginner's edition handbook to introduce you to the language.

I still have hope in this game though and wish the devs well.

Who knew that a rough, unpolished diamond like this one would bring insight to the viewer?

I'm not even sure why I like it: Perhaps because the game asks little from you, the predictable yet unpredictable AI, the diverse landscapes and it's fauna and flora or how treacherous the nature of the setting is. Everything is after your blood and it won't end pretty for both parties. The game makes sure that I never feel welcome nor feel safe, no matter where I go. This game is somewhat niche, but it's worth to try it out.

Yes, enemies sometimes spawn from the sky. Yes, the characters make these goofy faces and the game isn't very polished. Yes, I know, the bugs. Nevertheless, the only thing I regret was not buying it sooner.

Always fun when your harbor gets blockaded by Elizabeth I if you refuse to trade with her.
