EDIT: Although Sony has retreated somewhat on social media, they still restrict purchases in over 100 regions where PSN is unavailable. This is troubling because they might still enforce PSN linking, and until they fully retract this policy, I will maintain my negative review:


I was enjoying this game until Sony unexpectedly required all players to create a PSN account after three months of play. This wouldn't typically be a problem, but Sony's decision excludes numerous players—PSN isn't even accessible in regions like China, the Philippines, and various parts of Africa. Furthermore, Arrowhead Studio has misled us twice: they initially claimed they were operating independently with minimal Sony oversight, and they assured us that linking a PSN account would remain optional.

Last Epoch had an incredibly awful launch, plagued by server issues that killed any and all motivation to play. The situation dragged on for what felt like an eternity, and remnants of these problems still exist today, with slow zone loadings and frequent server crashes. The developers should have taken a lesson from the rough launch of Helldivers 2 and doubled down on server preparation, but unfortunately, they did not.

While the game boasts beautiful graphics, the skill system was a letdown. I was led to believe that each skill point would be crucial, but it just seems like a more scaled-down version of Path of Exile. The skill points are mostly used as stat sticks, with only some allocations drastically changing skills at the end of certain paths, which is disappointing. The passive system feels entirely tacked on and merely provides additional stat sticks.

The story is a complete snooze-fest and utterly forgettable. Some claim that this game is a drastic improvement over Diablo, but that's just hype. Diablo actually has memorable in-game events and cinematics, something Last Epoch sorely lacks. The only class that offered a genuine sense of fun and experimentation was the Rune Smith, making every other class feel like a snooze fest in comparison.

In summary, Last Epoch's launch was marred by severe server issues, and its gameplay and story fail to deliver the engaging experience promised.

Palworld had a promising concept, blending standard survival game features with a pocket monster capturing mechanic. Unfortunately, its rapid decline in player base was not without reason.

Updates have been slow and minimal. The game quickly becomes stale after a short period of play. The limited building blocks stifle creativity, progression is sluggish, and servers are plagued with cheating issues. Boss monsters are extremely buggy, often getting stuck in the environment. Although the environment is visually appealing, the map feels empty and lacks points of interest.

It's clear the game has generated significant revenue for the developers, yet they have not reinvested in the product and seem to have pocketed the cash instead.

Palworld will likely remain a cool concept and a middle finger to Nintendo, but given the months of inactivity, it seems destined to stay just that: a cool premise with unfulfilled potential.

It's been two years since I last touched this game, and despite its relaxing nature and stylistic art, it seems like the developers have abandoned it. There's no real substance here; the gameplay is repetitive and lacks any deeper engagement. It’s fun for the first hour, but that excitement quickly fades.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance features a similar potion crafting system that’s far more enjoyable, and it’s just a side activity in that game. It’s disappointing to see that after all this time, Potion Craft still hasn’t evolved into something more engaging.

Multiversus initially seemed like a promising addition to the fighting game genre, but the reality has been a letdown. Despite its fresh appeal, the game has been plagued by numerous issues that the developers have failed to address.

The servers are consistently unreliable, with countless bugs and random crashes that disrupt gameplay. Matchmaking is practically non-existent, there's no in-game chat, and the UI is clunky and poorly optimized. These issues are disappointing enough, but they might be forgivable if the game were still genuinely in beta.

However, the developers have made matters worse by prioritizing monetization over player experience. They have charged players exorbitant prices for skins and battle passes, yet have done little to improve the game's stability or address its myriad problems. It’s frustrating to see a game with so much potential being mishandled in this way.
