Valve’s approach to cheating in CS2 feels like outright neglect. The "improved" VAC system is a joke—cheaters don’t get banned mid-match, and reports seem to vanish into the void. There’s no Overwatch system like in CS:GO, no meaningful anti-cheat updates, and worst of all, no communication from Valve. The fact that a multi-billion-dollar company still relies on a decades-old trust factor system instead of implementing modern kernel-level anti-cheat like other competitive games is beyond unacceptable.

Why should I (or anyone) care about grinding ranks or Premier mode when half the matches feel predetermined by who has the better cheater on their team? The competitive integrity that once made CS the gold standard of tactical shooters is gone. CS:GO, even with its issues, never felt this helpless against cheaters.

Once you reach 20k+ rating, encountering a cheater in every other match is almost guaranteed. If you choose to grind Premier, you have to come to terms with the fact that it won’t be a fair fight.

Fix your game, Valve.
