direção de arte absurdamente boa, trilha sonora vem forte, e a história é absurdamente boa e contada de uma maneira muito ♥♥♥♥
tá longe de ser perfeito, mesmo após uma boa quantidade de patches ele ainda tá bem mal otimizado nas áreas externas do perímetro, e ainda deixando isso de lado, eu achei todos os bosses meio broxantes no fim
mas no geral eu não vou esquecer de jogar essa pedrada tão cedo. valeu a pena esperar

I know I only have 17 minutes here, but I've been playing this game on mobile on and off for 7+ years, and only bought it on Steam just now.
The fact that it has kept not only me, but an entire dedicated community active for over 6 years, with no actual updates, is a testament to how good it is.

This is just an old version of the SCP:CB Ultimate Edition mod, repackaged and put on Steam. I'd also guess whoever published this didn't even get authorization from the UE team since it's such an old version.
The only real differences are that the UI looks different in some spots, and there's Steam Workshop support, but these aren't really game changers, so you're better off playing the original UE instead.

Short and sweet, and doesn't overstay it's welcome.

A great example of a dev that knows what limits they have and manages to work perfectly within those. I would also like to highlight the athmosphere, in particular the audio, since it does quite a bit of heavylifting here. Music was a bit on the forgettable side of things, but the overall ambiance more than makes up for it.

Altough I got it as a gift, I do see how the price could be a little steep for some, but overall I have no complaints.

A bit on the short side, but considering the whole point of the game is allowing for multiple runs with different playstyles, routes and ways to deal with certain circumstances, that's not really a big issue. Well, that and it's just an early access title for now.

What's already here is absolutely stellar, the game world feels genuinely lived in, athmosphere and sound design are some of the best I've seen recently, the graphics are tastefully retro and feel like something right out of the late 90's to early 2000's, and it's just really fun to sneak around and avoid enemies. I'm getting quite a bit of slowdown when setting the lighting options to normal (or above in case of dynamic shadows), but I suppose that's getting fixed in the next patch, and it's easy to just turn down some settings in the meantime.

One complain I do have is that blocking with the canesword is pretty useless, considering most enemy melee attacks can be avoided by just walking backwards, and that makes combat quite trivial, when it's meant to be a "last resort" sort of deal.

But overall, New Blood still hasn't made a bad game. Really excited to see this one evolve.

Genuinely feels like a passion project, you can really tell this game is being made because its what somebody wanted to make.
Art style is really unique, if a bit too simplistic in some cases, but it really shines through in cutscenes and in a few places in the game, mainly outdoors sections. I also dig the slightly animated stills used for some of those cutscenes, these really color compressed, traced over photos make for quite an unique aesthetic.
Not much music in here so far, but what is there slaps really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. They are a bit reminiscent of hotline miami's tracks at times, really punchy electronics, but the heavy sampling helps it hold it's own ground.
Gameplay is absolutely stellar, also reminding me of stuff like hotline miami, super meat boy, etc. with that fast-paced "try, die, repeat" flow. Attacking is really satisfying too, altough ovement can feel a bit rough at times, mainly with wall-jumps, but thats nothing that a bit of work can't fix.
Overall I'm not sure why the hell I'm even complaining about this that much. Really good preview, made by someone who I can tell is doing it because they want to, and totally free on top of that (in which case I don't even know why you're reading this, just download it, play it, and see if you like it). Really excited to see where this goes in the future.
