After waiting for eight months, all we get is a mediocre PC port. The game itself is fantastic, but the port overshadows any joy you could have with dyfunctional multiplayer connection-wise, as well as not being able to join a wuest unless you've seen the cutscene? why would I even need other players then? The UI and controls for PC are clunky, everything you do feels sluggish at best. Wanna quickly go through your inventory? Better get used to awfully unintuitive keybinds that you cannot even change. What I can't change either are numerous texture and other graphical bugs and the horrible design choice of making your mouse a joystick simulator, which you can't reasonably change the sensitivity or the acceleration of; forget playing ranged weapons with this.

The monster hunter cycle of hunt monsters - forge - hunt the same monsters again but this time wearing the bodies of their friends is still essentially the same. The whole process has been streamlined and has been made easier to get into first time players of this series. With that being said, what I liked about previous installations was the over-the-top-ness of all the weapon designs. Wanna beat up some monsters with a hammer that has a huge gun for a hammerhead? Sure, go ahead. With world though, all the weapons look practically the same. Upgraded your bone lance with some new monster materials? Sure, we'll add one feather that you can't even see. Where's my drill hammer? Why can't I go out and slap some monster face with a huge frozen Tuna? (And why did you remove the oils? Do you hate sword and shield so much?)

Combat-wise, this installment offers the best and most fluid experience to date. With all the new moves and quality of life changes added, it feels like your your weapon is an extension of yourself.

All in all, this is still a Monster hunter game and you'll have tons of fun with the actual gameplay. Though the horrid port and optimisation will pull you out of the immersion more often than not.

If Dante knew this is living hell, he would already be in paradise.

A turn- and grid-based Strategy game with RPG element. The art is astonishing, the story is exciting and little events with choices that you have to reflect upon help to game to neverreally get boring. The fighting system is uncommon, though understandable and that gives it a little thrill. The game doesn't get too hard, not too easy. All acompanied by a wonderful OST.

If you like strategy games and a story-weighted environment in that you have to choose your decisions wisely, this game is definetely worth it's cost.
