This game is amazing, it does everything it can, in the most unique way to make a really solid survival horror experience. It is decently scary, always making you have the feeling that you're not alone, or even watched/followed, and your first few interactions with the cannibals that inhabit the island will probably be your scariest moments, as it's a puzzle trying to understand how they work, and interact with you. They are unpredictable with whether they want to attack or avoid you and run at insanely fast speeds, which makes them frightening to engage in a fight with ESPECIALLY at night. Throughout the game however, these cannibals get less intimidating to fight for the most part, however from time to time, they definitely will pull a few tricks out of their sleeve, especially as you get further into the game, you'll have to see why for yourself. This game probably the most interesting method of story telling i've ever experienced. You start off in a plane, that unexpectedly crashes into an island, you survive the crash and you see your son being dragged away. There is never a clear direction throughout the entire game and the only ACTUAL goal you have is to, "Find Timmy." You have to use your brain and all the clues you gather throughout different parts of the game which you can access in your notebook in-game, to figure out where Timmy is, and at times it's difficult to figure out where you need to go, but when you finally put everything together, you get satisfying rewards that will help you find Timmy, such as different gear located at different parts of the game, and notes/pictures that guide you to where you need to go. This feeling of hunting for clues to get to the end-game is what makes the Forest so amazing to play, and don't get me started with playing with friends, because trying to figure out the clues you get together, doubles the amount of fun you will have. If you're looking for an interesting, unique take on story telling, and you can handle a horde of cannibals living around you as you try and survive, you should definitely get this game.

I definitely think personally, this is one of my favourite story-based games of all time, and my friend and I enjoyed every moment of playing it.
