It's an interesting read—nothing special, though. It's definitely not on the level of The Lord of the Rings.
I think I would have appreciated it more as a teenager. The story wasn't always engaging for me, but the artwork and music are great.

One fun thing I noticed is that they initially tried very hard to translate the game with an old-fashioned English literature style but gave up after a few chapters, switching to more regular American English.
In the first chapters, they came up with a new synonym for almost every word to avoid ANY repetition, but in the last chapter, they repeated "implore" about four times. So, the translation is rather inconsistent, but it's not a big deal.

Dead game. The devs abandoned it and now it has like 8 full community servers at best.

1. The game is very poorly programmed. And no, it's not because it's old. There were many great games in 2012.
2. The game is very slow paced, definitely not for everyone.
3. The story is just schizo fever dream, it just doesn't make much sense even in its mystical occult setting.
4. I got a critical bug made me impossible to continue the game without replaying it from the previous save, and I just don't want to. For me it's a low quality game.

On sale this game is so cheap it's almost free.
Chill jumping game with a simple plot and old school graphics.
75/100 it's just ok, doesn't irritate but nothing special about it.

The visuals are great: depressive, gross and, disgusting but not too much.
The puzzles are not difficult to solve.
The level design is quite linear so it's impossible to get lost.
No jumpscares, the game is a softcore horror.

I'd enjoy the game more if it had a plot. 8.5/10.
Doesn't worth $20/20€, buy it on sale with -75% discount.

I don't really want to leave a negative review but I just don't understand how this game is supposed to work. Unemployed sweat lords grinding 20h a day will dominate any server and this is how the game is designed. And when it happens then what's the point in continuing playing (if not for the first time)?

Other than that I have no complaints, it's interesting to progress, build your own castle and protect it from raids. Is it interesting to play it from wipe to wipe? Not really. Does PvP mechanic work? Not really, you rest for a day and the game is over for you.

Completing Omori was like torture for me. The only reason I didn't drop it is its score.

Most of the time, what you'll experience is a very slow paced and uninteresting game, full of bad jokes and boring dialogues. The game rewards you from time to time with great art and soundtracks but not enough to compensate all that. The game could be like 3-4 times shorter without any drawbacks.

The story itself is decent it's just that you have to torture yourself first to get it.

NB: My playtime bugged. It actually takes 25+ hours to beat this game.
Also Omori is the best advertisement for autopsy. I don't think what they did in the game is possible in real life. I hope it's not possible.
