Case of the Golden Idol had better music, better graphics, better UI, and a better story. That doesn't make Rise bad; Rise is still good in its own merits. Chapter 4 was particularly pointless (save for the 4th case) and the last case was a little difficult to unravel. Case's original Golden Idol felt more imposing than the I.D.O.L. ever did, but the I.D.O.L. has a great mystery when you're first finding out it can transfer memories. Nevertheless Rise is a solid sequel.

But why do people believe the Golden Idol of Lazarus Herst to be a myth when all this extremely high tech stuff is in the Lemurian Museum??? Is it just because none of it worked? The Lemurian History Museum case was interesting but it took me right out of the game.

I only quit this game because I get physically tired.

Even though I visited in v21, this game is very fun, but its community is horrid. However playing with friends is a great and nforgettable experience.
