Great game, but it's dead ((

My initial review after 250 hours was very positive. I have started to play since the version 0.9 and it was quite stable and enjoyable. It was cool to explore the world and learn it but fairly quickly the game become boring. Now I have 1000 hours and have to change my review from positive to negative.

Everything went absolutely wrong since the version 0.95 when the new unrealistic spawn system has been introduced and the game received incredible amount of bugs which exist for months and months now. Yet more DLCs are released and there is no focus to fix bugs.

Another great disappointment is that SCUM creators have opted out from the new Steam Families feature which allows to play a game simultaneously from multiple accounts without the additional purchase. The new Steam Family feature was the only hope left for me as I could bring my partner to this game and potentially have some fun together. But at this terrible stage I'm not buying this game from another account.

Overall, it's quite sad that such a nice game will be close to dead before the official 1.0 release.

After playing this game for 700 hours I can't recommend this game for a various reasons:
- It's extremely hard to start playing this game due to game and movement specifics
- Matching system is broken for ages now and you will get thrown to randomly skilled opponents
- Lags and bugs are still there and lag compensation gives more advantage to those who lag
- Low tick servers

Details:
Game specific movements can be cool, but in Apex you can use macros that allow people to move in impossible way, making barely possible to shoot them. At this point is not a shooting game anymore but who ever programs a better movement macro.
Some of the ridiculous movements are possible with the human input, but it takes thousands of hours to master them. If you have these hours, you may enjoy a pure movement dominance. For the most of players this is not enjoyable.

Matching system is completely broken. Recently played a TDM where opponents did not even know how to shoot properly. It's not fun when you realise it. Then played another game against movement nerds who did super weird macro movements and it was impossible to hit them. Not fun either.
Ranked is screwed for both last seasons and this season it does not even make sense to play. I'm 100% convinced that people who adjust matching and ranked point have nothing to do with gaming at all. Classical managers and directors who "know the best" and then screw it up for a big game community.

What can be more annoying than screwed matching system? It's a game lag that you randomly get in the ranked game. Something that only Apex has and devs are blaming the Internet.

I should not forget about the low tick-rate servers. They are not 20, they are 20 max when there is no much load. At the beginning of the game the tick-rate drops to 7-10. You can clearly see it if you die and watch your team mate. Game is just jumping and shuttering. Keep watching till half of the lobby is dead and game server will gradually return to 20 ticks/s.

This game is not enjoyable in multiplayer mode if you play with randoms. 95% of people you meet online will have 50+ playing hours in last 2 weeks. You just cant enjoy gaming as they play like robots.

I would not recomend this game.

Probably one of the best coop games I've ever played. If you have a friend who likes to solve puzzles – this game is made for you. I do not suggest picking up the random people as the partners, though.

Single player story line is exciting as well.

This game will keep you busy for a while.
