I can’t speak to the story because I’m not far into it. So far it’s been pretty cute and enjoyable. The characters are getting established well and their personalities are coming through well.

That said, the game mechanics are absolutely spot on. It feels exactly like old-school platformers in the best way. Honestly I’d recommend it solely based on that.

This game feels like an old friend. I missed the golden age of cRPGs simply because I was a little too young in the 90s. But I have played them recently, and this game takes everything that made those games and improves it all.

Do you like smashing face? Do you like loot? Do you like an incredibly complex skill tree that you can browse for hours and still not know everything you can do with it? Then this is the game for you. It's incredibly fun, from beginning all the way through the end game. There are competitive leagues and ladders, guilds, and all sorts of stuff to make this game one of my favorites, bar none.

I've never had a game send me into an existential crisis before.

I guess I can check that one off the ol' bucket list.

Dear Lord this game is beautiful. The campaign is wonderfully written, the graphics are amazing, it has a tremendous amount of love in it. If this is a sign of what's to come, this first wave of Kickstarter games will be quite amazing. There is no crafting system in the default campaign, but it can be implemented for user-generated content. Oh, wait. I forgot to mention the (eventual) massive amount of user-created campaigns. All available through the Steam Workshop. Absolutely wiz.
