As you beat a man's brain in with a baseball bat a bullet hits you in chest leaving you dead on the neon floors of the 1980's as you restart you find yourself angry not at the game but yourself because you can do better. Welcome to Hotline Miami a top down, ultraviolent and surreal video game where one hit means death for you and your opponent.This game has a fluid combat system allowing you to chain combos aganist the mobsters you face with everything from a brick and a pistol to a katana and shuriken allowing for a spectatular showing of gore. Under the gore and bodies lies a story which is actually good for a game of this liking with the era of 1980's setting the stage perfectly. This game is inspired the film Drive and elements are shown through out the game from the surreal,noir feeling to the perfect soundtrack filled with your new favourite songs. The masks are my favourite part of the game however, before another mission of slaying you get to choose a mask to wear some have special abilities and handicaps from lethal doors to surviving 2 bullets. This game can either be short or long depending on your skill level the first play through may take 5-6 hours but i have done a speedrun in little over an hour. I highly recommend this video game as i love every second of it PS if you are on a laptop use a mouse seriously
