This is simply magical. I'm from the C&C and AoE school of RTS and this is a very satisfying time-sink. You can turtle or rush (turtling can be hard to come back from due to the nature of the enemy). I'm only part way through the campaign but the drip feed of new units, abilities and enemies is paced beautifully.
Don't allow the visuals to put you off; this game is tremendous.

A 'choose your own adventure' story, or is it? Some clever twists and brilliant use of a narrator. Not like anything else I've ever played. It's not the longest game, but if you need 20+ hours out of something to be satisfied then this was never going to be for you anyway. Recommended - try it out of sheer curiosity and you will not be disappointed.

Not interested in the multiplayer at all. 6 good hours of singleplayer albeit with a surprisingly abrupt ending. Singleplayer format stays true to the early games in the franchise and anyone who enjoyed those should have fun blasting through this too.

A thoroughly, thoroughly good couch co-op. Despite bringing us close to divorce in the most difficult levels, we were compelled to burn through the main campaign inside of a week despite limited free time. Straightforward gameplay rules makes it one of those classic "easy to pick up, difficult to master" titles. If I had to find a criticism, that onion's rambling voice gets pretty irritating.

This, kids, is where it's at. As a fan of Animal Crossing, Theme Hospital, Sim City, (you sim it, I'll play it) this scratches a big itch. Immersive, with just the right level of complication and enough variety to avoid feeling grindy. A masterpiece.

Worth every penny; look at the hours people are sinking into this. I play it sofa co-operatively with a friend, one on the keyboard and one on the mouse. Science gets done.

Just buy it. The ultimate modern platformer and horribly addictive to boot.

Incredible if you like telling people where to go and who to shoot. A great RTS

There is absolutely no reason not to have this game. Not even a double negative. Fast fun with plenty of variety. Hats are optional.
