It was ok.

I like the theme and art style, but the english translation needs improvement. Also, it's only 2+ hours long. Ignore my playtime.

Keeping this one short: Very comparable to Blade Runner in style, atmosphere, and certain story elements. It's not a perfect game, and the interface shows its age as the oldest Wadjet Eye game (afaik). There are elements of the story and ending I can nitpick, but why bother? It's an adventure game, not a sci-fi novel. And the point of my review is to say that if you like adventure games, especially of the darker, grittier, sullen variety, then you will like this. I definitely need to load some of my old saves though, because there is definitely some stuff I missed. I only got 5/15 achievements lol.

Whooo! Great game! Cute, funny, great writing. What else can I say? Great puzzle design, especially during the finale. Great ending.

Negative reviews can be ignored. LMAO! I got curious and read a few. One person admitted to only playing 29 mins! And they said they were turned off by the childish design. If they had played longer, they would have realized this is a very important part of the story! That's only part of the game. To me, I saw all the weirdly childish stuff in a very "Twilight Zone" sort of way. It made me wonder what was really going on. Turns out I was right to wonder. No spoilers, though!

Another negative review said the puzzles were too hard and nobody would be able to play without a walkthrough. Welllllll.... I DID! Yeah my play time is way longer than most, but that's what happens when you don't use a walkthrough and actually take the time to challenge yourself before giving up. I loved the puzzle design! In fact, the puzzle design in this game may be the best I've ever encountered in an adventure game, and I've played a TON of them.

Recommended ONLY FOR FANS OF THE MONKEY ISLAND SERIES. Not for anyone else.

For anyone else this game will be an intolerable nonsensical mess. The play control is absolutely terrible. It's not even point & click. You have to awkwardly use a controller or the keyboard (w/o the mouse!) to clunkily navigate an unnecessarily 3D environment.

For fans of the series, the cons can be gotten over and gotten used to. It is worth playing for the story, though like others have said, this might be the weakest game in the series, but that doesn't make it terrible. It still had a lot of Monkey Island charm and humor. It was worth playing for this fan, though I doubt I will ever replay it like I have done with the first two games a million times. I haven't played the fifth (and last) game yet, so hopefully it's better than this one and goes back to actual point & click controls again.

Note: There's a nasty bug near the end involving Herman Toothrot and an object. If you find yourself unable to progress further, I posted a solution in the discussion board under a thread called "I Can't Go Forward In The Game". I did not start the thread, so look for my solution further down. You will also need to use a walkthrough guide a couple times as there are a couple of really terrible puzzle solutions, not to mention the dreaded "Monkey Kombat" <shudder>

Note 2: You will need to use DgVoodoo to fix the aspect ratio. There is a great guide for this in the "Guides" section. It even includes some instructions on how to make the controls a little better. It's super easy to do if you follow the instructions in the guide.

Very dark and mature story. Plenty o' gore, and some fun gory achievements. Just make sure to leave a lot of saves throughout the game, and don't save over them like I did if you want to get the extra achievements without having to go through the game again.

Mechanics are good but just a tiny bit janky accessing the inventory and the save menu. Nothing major. Just a nitpick. Overall, I definitely recommend it for point n click adventure game fans. Be ready to read a bit, though. The story is scattered throughout the game in diary entries from crew members. It's not a ton of reading, but it's definitely not nothing.

It's a non-traditional point & click game. It's extremely linear and simplified. The click has only one function as both a look and interact button. It just works as a look function on objects you can't interact with.

You will be disappointed if you expect a Monkey Island type game because it is so linear. It plays like a mobile game. You hold no more than a couple objects at a time, and each object is used up immediately once you find something to use it on, of which there are not many choices. For this reason it is also EXTREMELY EASY. There is zero challenge. It's more of an interactive story than a puzzle-solver.

Having said that, it's still entertaining, but has no replay value unless you just like the story. I would pay no more than $5 for this.

It's jew-tastic!

Short, sweet, and somber. There is some replay-value in the achievements and the multiple endings, and there's a Monkey Island-esque boss fight at the end where two rabbis try to out-rabbi each other.
