A fairly solid RE/Silent Hill experience. Game feels a little floaty at times but combat mechanics are fairly solid with a touch of puzzle solving required to clear some rooms. Puzzles themselves are fairly difficult compared to modern games, and there are plenty of them. Clear time of roughly 7 hours with a steam playtime of 12 makes this worth the rather low price point as well.

If you didn't like Archeage six years ago, you won't like it now. Outside of the cash shop and a graphical upgrade - which touched up zones but seems to have left the models looking the same as ever - nothing has really changed. You level to 30 a lot faster but you only use the same weapons from the start and you keep upgrading those until you hit 50. Game handles like a slug throwing a club around. Character's have physical weight to them but your attacks are floaty, combos feel buggy, and the character creator is less in-depth than ESO. The camera controls are absolutely wretched and feel like they were meant for an action rpg instead of a tab-target rpg. Just a forgettable experience in general, I can't imagine many people will be playing this game in the next couple of months.

It's a pretty fun shootie and I haven't had anything bad happen in it and also you collect points fast enough that if you're enjoying yourself you don't realize how fast you've collected 'em.

Haven't encountered any bugs. Gameplay was frantic and solid. Uplay isn't as big a deal as some people make it out to be.

Been praying for a port since it was released on Wii U, so I'm happy.

It's on sale for $9.99 right now. It's still not worth it. Trust me, I put over 100 hours in it.

Base building is a waste of time, you'll end up either losing it all overnight or the server will restart.

Materials are both hard and easy to come by. What I mean is that everything you'll need is found in the center on the island, in easy-to-spot nodes for your mining pleasure. This means that it's incredibly easy for one person or a small group of people to mine up every single resource in the game, forcing others to wait for the nodes to respawn... just to have them mined again.

The map is way too small. Most everyone will attempt to build in the flat grassland in the center of the map, which causes that area to lag out considerably. Buildings pop in when you get close, which causes severe stuttering to lower end systems. Best case scenario is a brief 3-4 second frame-drop. If you're not building in this overpopulated middle, there's also the beaches, or the throne, and that's about it. Most other locations are too uneven, being mountains.

There is no endgame content. Just a perpetual rise and fall as you destroy other people's stuff for fun, only to have your own stuff destroyed as well. They greatly increased the cost of high-tier blocks, making it next to impossible to build a safe fortress if you're not on constantly and with a medium-large group of friends and harassing people for nodes.

Combat is terrible. Despite ingame artwork there are no shields and because of the way armor works the most common build is Steel plate armor with no gloves, and a Steel greatsword for reach. Avatars desync constantly, meaning combat is less about careful footwork and blocking attacks for a quick parry, and more about who gets lucky during the mad swing-fest. A complete joke.


This game has potential. It really does. However, in it's current state, it's just another survival builder with poor KOS PvP and ridiculous grinding in a terribly asymmetric world.
