Worked like a charm but I have gone to converting files to mpeg and putting them on my external hd plugging it into the usb port of my dvd player

I use isoBuster to rip raw disk data: you could then burn it to another disk using the same program.

If you want to rip a DVD in movie format you could always use VLC. Tutorial here: {LINK REMOVED}

To burn that movie data use BurnMyFiles
