It's like dropping acid, except it doesn't burn a hole in the floor and/or your feet.
Please do note that I am not infact speaking from experience and have never imbibed nor caused the rapid physical descent of any kind of corrosives or hallicinogens.

What this game also will not burn a hole in is your wallet, or your patience. It's good to chill to. And there's pretty colours. That's always a plus.

I'm not exactly sure why I have to recommend this given it's free and therefore if you are in a position to be reading this, you have the game by default. What you may not have known however, is that you are also in a position to do one or more of the following:

- look at pretty colours
- poosh leetle cart
- stargaze in the night sky
- admire and/or loathe various headgear
- gaze upon your significant other/object of desire's beautiful body
- aim various projectiles at colourful cartoon men
- get stabbed in the eye

You are sitting at your computer on a dark and forlorn night, mouse in hand, fingers fervently clicking on the keyboard with nails bitten away and trimmed to aid finger-to-key aerodynamics. Suddenly an error message pops up on the screen with an uncerimonous DUNK sound. You lean in to read what it says when SLAM a hammer comes flying through the screen and beats on your face incessantly until you can taste your own skull. In a pool of blood, teeth and bone fragments, you lie contemplating with your breath ragged and fading, your last thoughts wafting through your mind like so many thin trails of smoke in the wind, wondering incessantly why this had to happen.

The answer, of course, is that you didn't buy this game. That's what happened. ♥♥♥♥♥.

I originally got this game prior to the 1.1 update that introduced the Hallow, and the game has grown by leaps and bounds since then. Pretty impressive to see. And it just keeps going and going!
At any rate this is great if you want a 2d minecraft only with much better fighting and action in it. This game can satisfy your creative, combatative and exploratory impulses all in one go. Can't really get much better than that.
