hella cool game, both roguelike and base building! all u could ask for!

-bought this game before they started adding the numerous updates.
-have to say the early days the game was very easy compared to what it is now. highly recommended right with the nightmare mode and the increased difficulty.
-as a very casual player who plays once in a while, the game provides an adequate difficulty to play for a few months or even a year

pros:
-high skill gap
-doesn't rely on items and abilities too much (even with no armor, you'd stand a chance)
-graphics are pretty good, just enough for a battle royale
-character customization is fully developed, you can literally customize almost everything
-interesting new concept of battle royale (swords and bows)
-abilities are flashy and cool, many cool particle effects

cons:
-extremely bad optimization
-fps is low
-there are too many bots in matches
-due to bad matchmaking, you get placed with extremely high skilled players
-some abilities are unlocked through playing or you could speed it up by buying ig currency

all in all, gameplay is solid and is a whole new experience for battle royale. however, game needs to better optimized and needs more working on for a better experience. but for a good feel of the gameplay, you need to buy yourself

The game's very well made, in terms of the story, it has many twists and unexpected parts that are not revealed. Only at the last or second last chapters do they start to reveal these pieces of information which really fills in the gaps in the story.

The best part of the game is the combat experience, I can tell that many many hours has been put into making the combat unique only to this game. With the extremely cool and vibrant particle effects, it truly makes me want to play the game more. I especially like the SAS, instead of allowing us to switch between the main character and other side characters, they lend us their abilities which makes it another aspect for us to learn and become more skilled in. Personally, I love Hanabi's and Arashi's SAS combo, with hypervelocity and pyrokinesis, you can easily do high amounts of damage to a stationary enemy.

Lastly, the effort put into the graphics and every unique environment of every chapter is something that must be take note of. The graphics of the ever changing environments and the different stages you can go to grind some levels during the rest time, are astonishing. Every part of the stage is different in theme, a construction site, high-tech headquarters, a factory that has so many paths that it is like a maze. Every stage has a different feel and additions special to only that stage.

However, one thing that they have to improve would be the keyboard and mouse support. At the start of the game, I tried to play the tutorial with a keyboard and mouse. It was unbelievably bad, the mouse sensitivity was very low even at the max sensitivity and the whole feeling of moving my mouse felt off. The keyboard did not have very good binds to the different actions of my avatar, I could not access half of my initial abilities and could not pass the tutorial...
Also, the support on different controllers can be improved. When I changed to controller after knowing that it supports controller better, I was clueless for a period of time. The only controller I had was a nintendo switch controller, and the prompts I got during the tutorial did not match every button of my controller.

All in all, Scarlet Nexus has been an eye-opener to me as my first Bandai Namco game. It has numerous of features that can definitely keep you hooked for at least a week. However, there are definitely problems with the controller support which I hope they can improve in the future. F.Y.I you may want to wait for a sale before buying this game, I had to spend 2 weeks of my allowance for this :c
