I don’t even know if I could word the emotions I am overwhelmed by with this game. Everything you do out in the world, each journey you embark, all of it really feels like what you are doing in the end.
Each life you direct feels like a reincarnation. Each and every one life in the Weird West.

I feel kind of bad for having purchased this game on sale because it deserves about double its usual price.
The care and attention the game was worked on reflects the compassion in and out of the story and gameplay.
Perhaps this game is not actually such a big deal as I make it out to be, but it sure does throw you off your footing in a moral/ethics fist-fight and a quest to find oneself as each of these characters.

All in all this is an experience you have to taste for yourself and carve your own path.

Goofy-ahh game I'll admit. What with shot-handed animations and VERY precise body movement diminishes the story-telling aspect in a game, it is SO much better than ME Andromeda though, without a doubt. You just need to experience the climbing animations for yourself.

HOWEVER

There is a story this game wants to tell, and it does that while putting you in a... let's say what I assume is a realistic atmosphere relative to its context, both in ways of how Mars and space work and how humanity has proven itself to work throughout history.

I only ever looked at its Steam store page, I had not seen any other visuals etc. before actually buying and playing. I did not expect the type of gameplay the game offered so I was caught a bit off-guard but the surprise was a welcome one. My playthrough felt like it had faint hints of Death Stranding, Lara Croft, and Portal. Some walking, some climbing, some puzzle solving. It does feel like a chore at certain bits of the game but each revelation in the story does a superb job in quenching your thirst for a break from the walking and puzzle solving.

It was also really fun to set out on this extraterrestrial adventure with Ellise Chappell. Having real people in your game creates a greater environment and makes for a much more memorable experience.

Overall a great, fun game with a good narrative woven in.

I have only played the game for less than an hour as of writing this review but I am absolutely in love with it. The difficulty of the game very well represents the difficulties in real life. I am actually quite glad to have discovered this game, I am also glad to have experienced its difficult nature.

The first and foremost point of this game is that it is hard because it IS hard, meaning, in real life the life of an artist is full of crap, to put it bluntly.

However, the thing I find most interesting and lovable, and perhaps the most relatable, is the portrayal feelings and mental conditions and how they are tailored in to the game as well as to the painting mechanics. Finding passion is HARD in life, and so it is in the game. Dealing with unwanted mental conditions, especially by yourself, is a coin flip at best, which is also accurately portrayed in the game.

My personal take on the game is through a bit of reflection and a little realisation. I used to be quite involved in creative works but somewhere along the way the passion for the work I did eluded me and for a long time I have been unable to find it again. The card in which a disgust at the world is portrayed feels too real, it captures exactly my feelings which really turned it to a comprehensible, solid concept for me. I failed to live in the game and at the end I found myself thinking about my passion, how I lost it, when I did, and ways to find it once again. The game is quite enjoyable on its end but I felt a personal link to it that I hope other people will not since it is honestly a loathsome one that I still appreciate having. Basically an eye-opener to me is what I could say I suppose.

Other than that the sounds and the BGM in the game, the ambiance and overall interface were obviously crafted with passion. I felt the touch of an impoverished 19th century life. Definitely will be playing this game when I find myself with little to be done and I am certain I will enjoy every moment of it.

The most fun, most chill experience I've had in a long time. You are able to slow down and collect things while admiring the characters, the ambiance, and the music. And for when you want to, the speedrun aspect of the game is waiting right around the corner for you.
The game mechanics are some of the most fun and most satisfying I have seen in games that are kind of similar to Demon Turf: Neon Splash. I adore the way sweet and cool animations, which are as satisfying as the game mechanics themselves, were weaved in between the dashing jumping and flying mechanics.
Overall definitely 10/10! The game is so much fun not only because of the beautifully crafted mechanics and maps, also largely because how the idea of this game - story, characters, and the visuals - was beautifully executed in to a proper, enjoyable experience.

Haven't played a dating-infused dunj game after Hades (not that Hades had lots of dating :p). The mechanics felt clunky until I got used to them and THEN the real fun began. I love the combat part as much as the dating part. ESPECIALLY the way you interact with your duo during the battle and the breaks in between. I did not expect to be pulled into its ambiance as much as I was. I will be thinking about some characters in the game for a while even though I finished the game. I loved it, definitely one of my favourites.

This game is frickin' amazing! From the lively animations to the fun dialogue and the satisfying gameplay mechanics the game is adorable! I love playing this and I definitely recommend that you at least try this game.
