A very dear story told through exploring one of the most interesting virtual worlds I've visited.

Different storytelling mode than the first and a considerably smaller map, but still engaging. Less open world experience, a little on rails. Core gameplay is virtually unchanged from the first game, with minor quality of life improvements. I can see some people getting irritated with the method of storytelling, but it didn't bother me. It's a great game, but quite different from the first. Subnautica is a tough act to follow.

No other game I have ever played has been this immersive. This game's ability to transport you to a different world entirely is unbelievable, despite it having a linear progression style of storytelling. By far the best single player game I have ever played.

For former CoD4 Promod and CoD2 players, this game is well worth the 20 dollars. While not alienating for anyone who hasn't played either, this game retains the charm of these two games in most everything it does. Battalion's movement (strafing and the like), gunplay, and the combination of these two, are not flashy by any means. Though, neither were CoD4 Promod or CoD2. Plain, yet functional was the name of the game for these two, and it remains the same for this game. No flashy animations or graphics, just solid, competitive gameplay.
