12 hour review. Probably will update when i play more.
i like it but it's got flaws that should have been patched out by now.

It's a factory planner game, if you like those you'll like this one. There's a few bugs/missing features that I feel shouldn't be there, regardless of what type of player you are and regardless of if it's a AAA or indie game.

-I like the potential to build however you want here...except...
-if you choose to build your production on ships instead of on stations, the game's production and storage tracker breaks. it seems like it wasn't made for this way of thinking, but the game gives no indication that you shouldn't do this with ships, and even suggest that you should since you can build ships anyway you want.

There are more examples that i posted in the discord for the dev(who does respond to post in the server still) to hopefully take serious. so far he kinda just excuses away the suggestions and bugs i report, but this is a more serious one and i'll see how he responds. if he excuses this away then that means the game is no longer getting updated and that i'm stuck with the problems that come up.

to his credit, he is still around and has a presence in the game's discord.

-actually the Tutorial was very long, and felt like a grind to get through. it certainly taught me a lot of things, but i hated it because i just wanted to get playing.

More incomplete than it let's on, and while it's social media post directly reference Terraria as inspiration - it's only on aesthetics and won't go much beyond that.

Also, banned for no listed reason and i suspect for my bio being right leaning despite never bringing that energy into any chat.

DO NOT get this game if you're in it for the Multiplayer.

This game has optional multiplayer, and it works like this: normally you're alone, but sometimes a player can invade your world for a short and predictable timeframe(whenever a boss is on the map - which you can see while you're deciding your loadout). The problem is, if you ever want to BE the invader, 10 out of 10 games i've "invaded" have had the most unbearable lag/rubber-banding. I promise it's not my ISP that the issue exist.

So i looked into it, turns out this game is a console port, and apparently console invaders don't have this issue. Only PC players. Basically means as a PC player, playing as the invader is virtually impossible.

Aside from that, it's a good game, though towards the end you'll probably more than fed up with all the little things and want the story to be done with already. The PC controls make this obvious that it's a console port as well, because they're not good.

As the one being invaded, i've never seen my invaders suffer from this lag. Some of the players are challenging and fun, some were easy, and sometimes i think the game made the PVP an NPC because the invader moves like one. You def have the advantage as the player though, because you get 3 lives and they only get one, plus you know what environment you'll be on ahead of time.

Staff is trash, and after 600 hours i can safely say the devs have been sitting on their ass with bugs and problems that pull you out of the atmosphere and right into the mechanics because they sometimes completely ruin that run, and they have been around for the 2 years i've played

Was almost a good game to show to my kids, until i got to the pride grooming part of it.

The last update was in 2019, but i bought the game in 2022 thinking it was complete. It has issues that should have been fixed by now.

Specifically,
-the bow misses shots if your target is slightly higher than you, because the aim isn't something you can control and it doesn't account for distance and arrow drop rate.
-Items can't be deleted, and you'll get many junk items in the mid-late game. so i hope this doesn't hurt performence later, but i've had to just toss these items on the ground. they block your path and keep you from placing structures there.
-Sometimes you miss an attack, and it's because the auto-aim has your character facing the oppisot direction of your target because it's really stupid sometimes. other times, you don't even know why you missed, but your ammo is gone none the less.
-sometimes quest don't update, even though you did the latest task. it keeps telling me to loot a corpse that i already looted.

So being that they're still selling this game, i find it a bit scammy to not fix these issues that you will certainly notice.

Gameplay:
aside from those issues, it is a game that you can enjoy. it's nothing top notch though. not compared to other games you could be playing. anyway i'm fine with the sale price of $6 that i got it for, but tbh even if i paid $15 i would feel like i coulda put that to something better.

Multiplayer: been playing with my son and the MP works fine, only issue we ever ran into was sometimes i see him floating around in a sitting animation, and he can't hear the music box for some reason. both are minor issues. still, i think it plays better as a single player game though because we aren't able to share parts of the map we explored, upgrades to key structures aren't shared very well either. basically the game plays like the MP aspect is an afterthought.

It could use more "substance" in the exploration of the planet part and some other things, but if you enjoyed Factorio, Satisfactory, or Astroneer then I think you'll like this. I'd say the fact that there really is a solar system, makes this far more "immersive" than factorio.

However, if like me, you didn't enjoy sticking around those games "beyond the objective". As in, you didn't build a massive factory that puts your cpu to the limit, then maybe you won't like this. Those other games had some things you could do that weren't just "optimize and stress cpu". This game however, if you're not making it bigger, there isn't much else to do. I got bored half-way in and decided i'll come back later.

It's actually fun. I got it for $5 and for that price, I'm 99% happy with it. Just needs some work on the controls.

It would be really cool if they included the scene TheQuartering's editor made, about the judge handing kyle his AR-15 after he was acquitted. As well as made the judge a second player.

Join a casual game. You can't talk or type until you purchase an in-store item...but you must put 5 dollars in your wallet to buy a 1 dollar item. Then you join a match, and immediately you're greeted with a sight that can recognized in any game - bots. Half my team was moving in a way that only bots would, and I get voted out.

I'm not familiar with the game, but whatever it's worth, it's not much if you can't enjoy a match. So, worthless in 2022.

The recommendation is left on "not recommend" because I felt like the performance made me quit before I was satisfied with my base. Otherwise i'd say this is a solid buy.

The performance is great early and mid-game. Not so much at late game. I don't mean Mega, just moderate. At moderate I'm starting to fight with the game to get an enjoyable experience.
