I got this game because of the hype and I was somewhat interested in it. The story is really weak, I found the Sebastian Sallow story line much more interesting than that lame main quest, it's like a disney movie, I reckon it could've been better. Regarding the combat system, I think it's alright, it does get boring after some time though. I recommend you to do the merlin trials, as it is increasing your gear slot and deleting worse items are painful to do that many times. About the difficulty of the puzzles, I think they nailed that one, so it's good. Towards the end-game it gets boring because there is no challange once you have unlocked crucio and spent some talent points on dark arts. Things like potions or plants are not necessary to beat the game, I guess it would've been even easier had I used those.
Overall I would give this a neutral rating, but since it doesn't exist I go with recommended.

This game has plenty of potential, although due to its complex physics engine it'll probably never have an official multiplayer. For an arcade race player the game might be lacking of a campaign for now, but you can play various scenarios created by the developers or the community. Speaking of community, the game has a built-in workshop that lets you download maps, cars and scenarios created by people and some of them are really high-quality. So far I've only played this game via controller but the game supports wheels too which can be useful as the game has 'Arcade' and 'Realistic' behaviour for those who want to play similarly to a simrace.
Since the game is still in early-access more improvements are to be expected with additional features/game-modes.

The campaign story is okay, grinding is enjoyable, it is also a fun experience to explore various solar systems, however after some time you'll find them less and less diverse as you travel. Some time around the expeditions update it kind of became unplayable on my system due to my low-end GPU, but that's not to say that the game is unoptimized or anything.
Overall I had plenty of fun playing this game, I'd recommend you getting it if you're into sci-fi or openworld games, if you're not willing to pay the full price just wait for a somewhat major sale, it usually has a 50% discount.

The game itself is more than fine, but the steam port is just awful for numerous reasons, one being that I had black screens countless times after cutscenes which crashed the game and the other is that the game sometimes crashed upon start.
