Great game... annoying launch sequence

The game is very fun but also extremely flawed. Some of these flaws make the game kind of hilarious.

For instance, just starting a car and the car decides to fly up in the air and land on its nose where it will stay for the rest of the game. Or texture glitches that mashup all the different jason into one giant freak jason.

But other flaws in the coding make the game wildly unfun. Like getting stuck to the boat after repairing it. You just get stuck to it and sit and wait for either someone to come finish repairing and start the boat, or to be killed by Jason who is inevitably going to find you.

The worst ones are becoming deal breakers for those people who used to enjoy playing the game. Not getting the character you picked starts out as a nuisance you just deal with at first, but quickly becomes one of the most frustrating glitches in the game. Especially when it happens again and again.

Saving the worst for last, the party and invite system is completely broken. If you, like me, enjoy playing games with groups of familiar people, then don't even bother with this game until they fix this. Sometimes we can't even get into a pre lobby party. Most times it kicks half or more of the party upon entering a lobby.

Even without this glitch, this game is about 40% waiting in lobbies. It takes several minutes to find a game and then have that game start. You sit and wait, then lets say when you finally get into the game, you dont get the character you wanted. Well if you decide to leave, thats on you because now the game has salt points that accumulate with users who decide to end the match before it ends. Lets say you choose to stay in the match even though you didnt get the character you wanted. You do this because you waited so long to get into the match. You went through hell and back to make sure your friends were able to join the match as well. Then while you're in the match some other glitch happens that results in your inability to effectively play the game and you get killed really early. Well thats on you as well to make sure you stay in the match until it ends. Thats up 20 minutes. So, you just spent 30 minutes (EASILY) to try and get all of your friends into the same lobby. You didn't get the character you wanted and then get killed because of a glitch that made the game unplayable. Then you are forced to stay in the match for 20 minutes unless you want to go through the headache of trying to get all your friends into the same lobby again or be penalized for leaving match early because you get salt points for getting killed even though the thing you're really most salty about is how terribly this game is coded. So you finish out the match as a spectator and then that just happens to be the last round of that lobby and you're sent back to the main menu to start the process all over again! This is not a series of hypothetical situations or even rare occurances. THE GAME ACTUALLY PLAYS OUT LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME!!!! You spent a full hour of your day only playing one round that was so glitched out you couldnt even play it. And they penalize YOU if you dont feel like dealing with that. It is YOUR problem!

And I guess that wouldn't all be so bad, if you only paid $10 or less for the game, but this is a $40 game! FORTY DOLLARS for a game that looks like a $20 game, and plays like a $5 game. Now apparently there is a lawsuit that is going to prohibit this game from releasing any new content for the game which effectly throws the last nail in the coffin. I guess thats probably just fine, because they can't even make the content they already have play nicely.

If they fix these issues in a timely manner, I will gladly update this post because this game is VERY fun when it works. Unfortunately, this game is so broken that it is currently unplayable.

UPDATE:

They have since patched the game. They have eliminated the glitch where you die when leaving the game in the car. They claimed to have patched the part of the game that spawns people in as different characters. This is mostly true. People only spawn into the game as a different character about 1 out of every 12 games instead of 1 out of every 4. But now insteady of spawning in as a different character, players will spawn in as specatators. They went from allowing us to enter game as different characters, to not allowing us into the game at all. Sometimes, all of the characters except Jason get pushed into spectator mode, in this scenario the game ends immediately, no one is granted any point except for Jason and you then return to the Lobby. Other times, all of the characters but Jason and one or two others are forced into specator mode. In this scenario, all of the players in Spectator mode are forced to watch the game play out. If I am not mistaken, if you leave the game early, you will be penalized with the aforementioned salt points, and will be forced to wait even longer to find another match. This gltich is very common. My current record for amount of games in a row that I was forced into spectator mode is 5. Five games in a row I got pushed into spectator mode. I would say this glitch usually happens in 1 out of every 4 or 5 games. The party system for playing with friends is still broken.
