I like ARC Raiders. I do, but in the current state of the game I can't really recommend it to anyone. The game has a cheater issue and embark seems to think the fix is 30 day bans? Why? In what world does that make any sense?

I want to like Borderlands 4, problem is I don't. Like at all. I'm 45 hours in at time of review and honestly I regret so much so that I didn't refund it when I had the chance. Nothing is fun, every single bit of the game feels like a chore and it's honestly so saddening. The comedy is lacking, the game play is fine, the story is so legitimately bad (seriously you people saying it beats BL2 need to be studied) and over all the whole experience was just boring.

I didn't get a choice when it came to keeping this game. Upon finishing its install, for some unknown reason the game launched itself while I had left my PC unattended. This resulted in me having SIX HOURS of 'gameplay' time before even sitting in my chair again. Steam of course refused a refund even though I didn't even play twenty minutes. I've never had a game launch itself like this, but it's scummy af, because I sure as hell didn't launch it.

Nexus just dropped. It is one of the worst games I've ever played and THE worst vr game. No more classes. Boring skill trees. One weapon. AI and combat are still horrible. I dont even want to play it let alone give them anymore money. Why would you remove classes and all the weapon types for bow? It's just so bad.

PS

Go say anything even remotely negative in the reddit and get it deleted, a game development company DELETING feedback is pathetic.

Tabor is Tarkov for VR, that's it, and it's great. For some reason a fair amount of people say they should stop trying to copy Tarkov, those people have no brain cells as that is exactly why this game has reached this point. You see Tarkov but VR and go ooo and give it a try, you love the game itself even with its quirks but the source WAS Tarkov being referenced mentally. Heres hoping the game continues to push forward and do well, I'm really enjoying it and it's immersion Tarkov could really never match. Apparently the Discord is full of abusive mods and children yknow.. just don't go there. Who joins official discords in the first place?

Contractors is a game with some pretty sick VR mods on it.. and honestly that's about it. The core game itself is pretty poorly designed.

While I understand the appeal I personally cannot recommend it, it's a free-to-play game even if it has fairly P2W aspects but that's not really my problem with the game. There are only two other games you can really compare Lost Ark to and that's Diablo, and Path of Exile with Path of Exile being a bit closer to Lost Ark because of its multiplayer features. However both Diablo and Path of Exile have something that Lost Ark doesn't, a moderate degree of difficulty.

This game is too easy. The excuse of "You're not end-game yet" isn't valid because I can go play any other MMO, or Diablo/Path of Exile and immediately have a bigger challenge, quite literally all you have to do in Lost Ark is use one, maybe two spells and wipe out entire hoards of enemies, with the former usually being more than enough. Perhaps it's because I played the magic class, but that's still not a valid excuse as you'd think then perhaps I'd die more easily, nope, I've only ever used potions because of my OCD of seeing my health bar go down, not from any real threat. Even the first dungeon you do, if done on hard mode, is so easy you could probably do it on auto-attacks alone, and according to late game players the difficulty doesn't scale based off the player count, so I essentially did what they consider a "4 man" dungeon completely solo on hard mode. While I've not gotten to late-game, because a game has to be able to capture my attention EARLY to make me want to grind for countless hours, according to other reviews the game doesn't get harder, things just get more HP and stuff takes longer, which sounds like a nightmare. I'd rather have bosses with threatening mechanics that can party wipe, rather than just meat tanks that kill you because you fall asleep.

If all I'm doing is chasing the high of seeing numbers go up, I'd rather play RuneScape or even New World because at least both of those games have a degree of difficulty, but just kind of mindlessly walking around, wiping out hoards that reward me with maybe 10xp loses its appeal after a few hours in. Lost Ark also suffers from the cultural difference between Eastern/Western audiences where all of the acting in Lost Ark is incredibly over the top, surely popular in the games origin country but here, at least to me, it takes me out of any possible story and leaves me just skipping dialogue.

I truly did want to give this game a chance, and if you enjoy it then go for it, but personally the game just feels like there's no impact in anything you do, the character models and animations are incredibly good, but if there's no challenge to overcome then all you're doing is grinding XP just to grind XP.

I cannot recommend this game. Not only does the core game loop get boring after about day 5, but there is so much needless racist dialogue in this game that it's unreal. I thought you know this game will be a fun, indie pixel cop game, and for a bit the story did interest me, but then about seven minutes into playing the game the racist ♥♥♥♥ started happening. I thought yknow, it's set in the 80s, I get it, and then for the like 3 hours I've played I was just bashed over the head every minute with pointlessly racist dialogue. It didn't add anything to the game, in fact it just took me out of it. I saw the same racist line repeat 3 times as I walked from one end of the road to the other, it's like the devs decided to be lazy and just have the random civilians repeat the same crap over and over. Like seriously, who the hell wrote the script for this game and thought this ♥♥♥♥ was okay, it's so much for no damn reason it completely ruins whatever good story exists.

While I am greatly enjoying the game, I cannot possibly recommend it in its current state. It runs like I'm playing it on an old mobile phone, and while my system isn't amazing it certainly should have no troubles running this game, even with everything as low as possible I'm still lucky if I get a solid 30fps without constant stuttering. You might be asking yourself, well why does it run so poorly?

Because every damned item in the game is stored on the floor, so your town is littered with trash everywhere that the game obviously has to render, sure they're small but when you have SIX buildings FULL of stuff those little models add up quick. This is quite possibly the stupidest storage solution for any game, my villagers can make a crossbow but not a damn bookshelf? Speaking of books, why do they stay after I research things? Toss them in the damn trash, DESPAWN them it makes NO sense to keep around a book that has already been used, it's just pointless trash. This game needs a serious overhaul for storage just for mid-range PCs to not have a stroke while trying to load all the little items that flood your base.

Racks for armor & weapons, shelves for books, cabinets for food and some type of damn crates for the 1000 hay I have, why they thought storage would be fine like this is insanity. Sure in the beginning its funny, store meat and what not in the cellar to keep it cold, but even in medieval days they didn't just chuck a steak on the floor in the cellar and go "Jobs done." they had STORAGE.

Honestly if I could refund this game at this point I would, I was genuinely enjoying myself because I love city-builders and medieval games, but this is just obnoxious, I can't even do anything without the game stuttering nonstop. There needs to be ways to get rid of your trash too, I have no use for wooden weapons anymore yet they're still in my stockpile, for gods sake let me mark items for the waste pile, all I can do is make people unable to pick them up. Which like ???? WHO WANTS THAT FEATURE? Why would I want my villagers to NOT pick up the random trash littering my streets after a raid.

This has been a bit of a rant but like come on man, who designs a game with a storage system like this, I'm not asking for generic storage chests those are boring, they could've done such nice things with the storage for each item section, I mean it's almost like different storage methods for different items EXIST in real life.
