More Diablo 4 than POE, but much more POE than Diablo 4. Faster, prettier, and more fun. Exactly the game I was hoping for! (Although managing inventory still sucks)

I may be late, but this is my game of the year for 2024. I didn't have a single gripe about this game, and I am SUPER whiny!

Do you like things? This game has ALL of the things!

Only about an hour in, and I am recommending it to everyone that will listen (which excludes more people than you would think)

Certainly FEELS like abandonware at this point, at least from the perspective of a VR user.

They have mostly fixed the end game and major complaints I had with Diablo 4, except for one MAJOR thing... ADD LOOT FILTERS LIKE EVERY OTHER MODERN ARPG!!!!!
Seriously... how does Blizzard ignore their fanbase so often and still remain in business?!?! If they just "stayed awhile and LISTENED", they wouldn't launch ALL of their products to such poor reviews.

I tried to love it, but this game is BORING. The pacing and dialogue are VERY dated (and very sexist).

Enjoy crashing your Steam Deck? Buy this game... total hardware lockup within 30 minutes.

Tropes in video games that I absolutely despise:
1. taking away the weapons and/or abilities I've been building up near the end of the game.
2. Long multi-stage boss fights with no save point in between stages
3. One-hit insta-kills

this game has #1 and #2.

I had a good time throughout MOST of the game... by the end, the story was shallower than I expected, and the game play got stale.

The graphics and sound were GORGEOUS...

but the game ultimately felt generic to me. Too shallow for adults, and too difficult (on default settings, at least) for kids.

I had A LOT of fun for the most part... but I can't recommend the game due to a gaming trope that I have NEVER enjoyed: losing everything.

You spend hours building up your character and getting used to skills you've unlocked. Then you get to a boss, and you're suddenly snuck up on, and you lose all of your weapons (this happens TWICE in this game) and/or your skill mysteriously doesn't work (the grappling hook stops working at points because I'm "exhausted"... but not so exhausted that I can't SCALE A BUILDING). Give me a NEW mechanic for a boss.... don't take away what I've gotten used to. It just seems lazy.
