EDIT: Sony has dropped the PSN requirement, so I'm changing this review to the positive review that the game deserves!

Great game that got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by Sony. At launch, making a PSN account was completely optional. Now, you have to make one and connect it to the game if you want to play. Unfortunately, as of may 5th 2024, PSN is unavailable in 100+ countries.

Selling a game to people in countries where you can't have a PSN account and then making it mandatory after the fact is completely unacceptable. You can't even get a refund.

A very nice little game. Once you get into the groove of painting, it's almost meditative. And you don't need to be a great artist to enjoy it either!

It's relatively short, you can get all endings pretty quickly if you want to, but that's not what this kind of game is about (or any game really, in my opinion).

I wholeheartedly reccomend it!

It's very unique and surprisingly political.

Early Access Review
I have only played a couple of hours so far, but I felt the need to leave a review.

This game is amazing! The gameplay mostly centers about optimally clearing rooms and being careful. TTK is very low, so you're forced to be methodical. It requires teamwork and focus, and playing it with your friends is an amazing experience. I would recommend that you try to immerse yourself and take it seriously though.

Besides that, the game doesn't shy away from darker themes. You regularly encounter violent scenes and stacks of bodies. It's not just graphic violence as well, there is a lot of subtle enviromental storytelling that let's you know how much Los Suenos has gone to ♥♥♥♥.

I just hope the developers don't change any of this in order to adapt the game to a wider audience. It would be a shame if the game lost its atmosphere for the sake of political correctness.

That doesn't seem to be the case so far though, with the most recently added map fitting the theme perfectly.

Definitely a game worth playing, especially with friends (although the single-player mode is surprisingly good too).

A great experience! It's good, but it doesn't overstay it's welcome and doesn't get stale. I'd say the game takes around 4-5 hours to beat, but there is some replayability with the extra challenges for every mission.

It should definitely be played with a friend! Laughing my ass off at my cousin struggling to navigate in zero-G was amazing and I know he feels the same way.

I think the length of the game is quite good, but I do hope there will be a sequel some day!

The story was okay, nothing groundbreaking, but decent enough. I really like the split screen nature of this game though. Generally a calm and enjoyable experience, with a focus on cooperation (though there are some minigames where you can compete as well).

If you can, I would recommend playing the game with your friend physically in the same room as you. I've done two playthroughs this way, and it was a blast both times.

You definitely need to be in the mood though, as the game is best played over long sessions. I'd estimate the length of the game is around 5-6 hours, depending on how competent you and your friend are :P

It's mind-bending, fun and not as hard as you'd think it'd be (although it is pretty damn hard). Once you start seeing time and parallel universes as spacial dimensions, you kinda "get" how the pieces move, though it is still at lot harder than regular chess and you tend to miss things more easily.

There is no greater joy than checkmating your opponent in three timelines simultaneously :P
