Thus far it's pretty good! I loved the Outer Worlds and now i'm loving this. This is a brand new fresh original game, the story is intriguing, the world is detailed and alive, and the game looks amazing. Only thing, I found it a bit difficult at first, so I set it to easy :D

I was not familiar with the Pillars of Eternity, but that is not an issue at all because the game does a good job at easing you into its world.

I also want to say that this game reminded me of Dark Messiah with a more open world. It looks like Elder Scrolls and even sometimes feels the same, but you won't have as much freedom because it's actually more action oriented and the story is more linear, but with lots of side quests. The story is still really enjoyable, and i like the companion characters.

Yeah it's pretty good. Sure the game is short, but the Links Awakening gameplay and feel is on point.
It's like the game was made for me.

I see that there are other escape pods during the intro. Possibly more chapters down the line?

(Played on couch-coop, 2 players, with xbox controllers.)
This party game has some fresh originality the kind I have not seen in a while. In short : it's some kinda of JRPG-board game hybrid, with humor (and monsters) straight from the Ittle Dew universe.

If you're intrigued by the concept, then please do try it! Some people say it's the mario party of jprg, yes I can see why they would say that.

This game sometimes feels like a crazy prototype. It's certainly an original idea, and I want to try all the scenarios. It's not easy on the first try, you might need a few attempts at first. We sure did, we played this with 2 players.

This game has a workshop, but I actually don't see a lot of workshop items! I don't think this game is very popular, that's too bad, and that makes it an actual and literal hidden gem.

EDIT : i wanted to add a bit. I recently played Dokapon Kingdom. Obviously the games have similarities, but Heartwood Heroes is soooo much better. For one, Heartwood Heroes emphasizes cooperation, when Dokapon straight up prevents it.

The writing in Heartwood Heroes is definitely much more fun, if you're into its style (which I am)

And Heartwood Heroes is more respectful of your time, one complet game can take one hour, when the story mode in Dokapon Kingdom can literally take days if not weeks. The Dokapon battle gameplay kinda feels better though, but perhaps they are similar in the end.

Played with Oculus Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop. Worked perfectly, no issues.

Pretty fun! Others have mentioned it : this is the closest game to "The Lab : Xortex" as you can get, without actually starting The Lab. The cat shooting lasers from a cheese wedge shaped spaceship is a little strange at first, but you get used to it very quickly!! It gets challenging quite quickly too. I managed to reach wave 32.

I see that there is also a non-VR version, but it's a separate game, on steam and on the switch. I have not tried the non-VR one.

Played with Oculus Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop. Worked perfectly, no issues.

This is the third game in the Pixel Ripped series. 1989 is first, 1995 is second, and 1978 is the third game. You don't necessarily need to play the others first, but i recommend it.

This is the best Pixel Ripped game yet! Everything was made bigger and better, and with official Atari references too.

This time around, you cannot use the xbox controller any more, but this is because the VR controllers are used better now. You still have classic 2D on a screen sequences, but there are a lot of full 3D-VR sequences too.

And if you never played Atari 2600 games, it's not an issue. The 2D games in here are better platformers than anything from the real Atari 2600 era anyway.

Played with Oculus Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop + Xbox One S Controller. Worked with no issues.

Fun game! The second in the Pixel Ripped series, after Pixel Ripped 1989. You don't necessarily need to play 1989 first, but i recommend it. I played it with my xbox controller rather than the quest controllers
