Whodunnit the video game, but with a toxic community and people who cheat out of game with their friends.

Cool but forgettable.
If the game was just the aesthetics this would be the best warhammer 40k game created, but the rest is a letdown.

The entire gameplay cycle boils down to; Go to tunnels, fight genestealers, go to open area, fight genestealers, go to tunnels, fight genestealers, get lost in tunnels, fight genestealers, do objective, fight LOTS of genestealers, go to tunnels/escape.

The combat is extremely basic, shoot gun/smash with fist or hammer. You can swap weapons between load outs but most weapons have glaring flaws that make them near useless on even normal difficulty, making you go back to the same 2-3 weapons. That combined with enemy spam just turns the game into a meat grinder with the same shooting for hours on end.

There is barely a story, which there wasn't much of in Space Hulk to begin with so you can't blame them much. Go to space ship, kill more bad guys, do it again.

Fun with friends but I could not imagine doing this alone, so I don't recommend it unless you have a group to play with.

The game is probably one of the best RPG games I have played, for the first half.
The characters/locations are unique, the voice acting/dialogue are great, and the combat is pretty fun once you get over the learning curve.
However,
-Every new act starts with some pretty rough combat, no matter how much you played through the last act. I played on normal difficulty and spike upon entering a new act is crazy, but towards the end of each act the enemies become relatively so weak they are a joke. I didn't pick a meta build from the community, but I cleared all enemies and quests before beginning a new act and still always got curb stomped early.
-The main problem with that comes from the leveling, it is broken, to put it bluntly. You can be lvl 13 fighting a lvl 15 and your entire party will be dead before you can blink. Same goes with equipment, some have useful perks that last but most are obsolete in a level are two, making you constantly check on your items to swap out for better gear [which was at least a dozen hours of my game time]. This mostly hurts because if I put several hours into collecting relics of our world just to have it be near useless after a few levels it kills the usefulness of uniques and quest rewards.
-From what I experienced, certain character quests have vastly different qualities in their design. I cannot express the satisfaction of ending Lohse's questline, but Ifan/Red Prince/Fane's by comparison didn't hold a candle to it in any way and were almost forgettable.
-Without spoilers: the endings are the same entree with different sauces on top of it, almost no difference.
-Getting decent loot can be rough unless you have the lucky charm perk, and if you do I hope you enjoy looking through every log pile or food basket for a chance at better gear than you can find at a vendor.

Despite these flaws I did have a ton of fun early and throughout most of the game, it is just that most of the final Act of the game felt like busy work and tedium, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. When I finished it I didn't want to play it again, but instead play Fallout 2 or Underrail.

It may be the rose-tinted goggles, but I just wasn't feeling it. From all the footage I have seen and how it felt to play for the first bit of it I decided it would probably just be better to put a couple dozen hours into Soulstorm instead.

I will keep lying to myself out of hope: the next DOW will be a true successor/improvement to DOW1 gameplay.

Very good. Extremely linear to a fault, but a shooter-survival I greatly enjoyed.

Neat Metro 8/10 so far, a change in pace to previous metros in the open world-ness and advanced crafting that requires you to make your own supplies. If you liked the previous Metros you will probably like this one.

Note: If you played previous Metros on Ranger Hardcore this one is much rougher;
- Most enemies, such as bandits, can literally one shot you at full health and you run *entirely* out of ammo in early game quite often.
-The stealth detection in this one is also pretty hit or miss, more than previous Metros enemies can *sense* you nearby or see you out of the corner of their eye when you swore you were hidden. The stealth KO has also been wonky on more occasions I can count, leaving me sitting there mashing E while an enemy slowly turns around to Kurt Kobain my brain.

Pretty good, got extremely annoying at certain points but the soundtrack made up for it.
