Worse story and atmosphere than Outer Worlds, and worse procedural generated planet terrain/flora/fauna than No Man's Sky. Just buy either of those games instead.

Shows what a difference it makes to have fantastic lighting with simple textures, the graphics don't look impressive but the atmosphere created by the game primarily just with lighting, and great weather effects really sets it apart.
Takes away the boring and tedious parts of most survival games, like spending countless efforts getting resources to repair broken gear, and instead puts in requirements that have you come up with more unique solutions per the games specific rules.
Pretty much every enemy drops something that is at least used in some way.
The building system is different from some other games, the stability system can be frustrating but overrall the builds can end up looking phenomenal simply because of the game's atmosphere.

The ridiculous bugs and problems with the game do not override the golden core of the game, the setting is well crafted, the plot is very interesting and surprisingly unique, the 1st person POV of the game is very well justified and conveys the way this story is meant to be told better than 3rd person would.

Replay value is still going 12 years strong.
